It was pitch black and dead slient. Severus couldn't see where he was going, so he kept walking in one direction in hope of finding a source of light. "Harry? Where are you?" A scream echoed off invisible walls. "SEVERUS HELP! HELP ME PLEASE!" Soon in front of he man was Voldemort with Harry in his grasp. "Harry!" He went to move forward. "I wouldn't do that Ssseveruss, or the boy getsss it". The pair disappeared in to the blackness that came from.
Severus bolted up right in his bed. Sheets tangled around him. "Sev? A-are you okay?" Harry was in the door way terrified. "I'm okay Harry, come here" he patted the bed beside himself. Harry climbed in next to him and snuggled into Severus side, who wrapped his arms around the boy in return. "I'm sorry I woke you" Harry shook his head. "I couldn't sleep anyway". Snape laid down with the boy in his arms. "Go to sleep then Harry, I'm going to be right here".
As soon as the boy was asleep Severus was lost in his thoughts. How was he going to keep the kid safe. He was already attached, and a repeat with what happened to the child's mother is not an option. Right now though is not the time to think. He needs rest. With that Severus dozed off into a light slumber.
Snape's p.o.v.
I woke to the smell of breakfast cooking and the low murmur of voices in the distant. Quickly I changed into jeans and a dark button up and made my way down the hall. "The bat has awoken" Sirius and his partner Remus sat at the kitchen table drinking coffee while talking with Harry who was cooking. "Good morning to you too"
I went and grabbed a mug and made myself some coffee leaving out sugar, not really in the mood for it.
"Why are you two in by kitchen?" The mutt put down his cup. " to pick up Harry early". Remus didnt look up from the paper "The DeathEaters are moving again, so its safer to go earlier". The latter let out a long sigh. His mark hasn't burned in awhile though. Severus looked at the still too small boy who was at the stove. "You're probably right, it would be safe to take harry now" Severus took his seat at the table. The adults went on with quiet chatter.
Once breakfast was over and done it was time for Harry to go school shopping. "Severus come with please!" The lad pulled at his sleeve. "I don't know harry. I still have a ton of work to do before the new school year" Harry frowned at the older man. "Okay promise you will go next time?" The professor made a promise and saw them off before heading to his potions lab in the basement.

Sirius, Remus, and Harry walked around diagon alley getting school supplies. They just finished gathering potions materials and were waiting to cash out. "Pup why don't you wait outside for us. It's getting quite crowded in here" the lad handed Sirius the things he had. "Okay Siri" the boy went outside to wait and that's when it all started. He was looking around when someone harshly grabbed his arm. "W-who are you?" This person was tall and not very nice looking. He smiled at him reveling yellow teeth. "I'm the man that's going to give you to the dark lord" Harry didn't know why he felt the need to run, which he did. With a kick to the shin he broke free and bolted through the crowd. He had to get away and hide.
unknown to him help was already on the way.
