Summer flew by fast and before they knew it, it was already time to head back to school. This time harry wanted to ride the train alone, which severus wasn't to sure about. Ecspecial since bad things seem to happen when he is alone. But he agreed any way after a week of begging. "Look harry I will take your chest with me so you can just get on" the boy nodded. Severus held out his hand and Harry took it and the pair apparated to kings cross station. Harry used Severus' arm to steady himself for a moment. "Does it get easier?" The older smirked "not really, you'll get more balanced after awhile" he took out a vial and gave it to him. "This will help with the nausea"

Quickly the pair was on plat form 9 3/4 with the growing crowd of people. Severus spun Harry around to face him. "Listen, if anything happens I need you to tap this bracelet 3 times saying 'Te Requiro' and I will come to you. Got it?" He slipped a black braided leather bracelet around his wrist which shrunk down to a snug fit so it didnt come off. Harry looked it over and nodded "got it, tap 3 times, Te Requiro, and you'll come and help me"  the train whistle sounded and the boy hugged the potions master before boarding the train.  Severus was left standing with the other parents  as the train pulled out of the station. As soon as the train was out of sight he made his way to Hogwarts. Snape had this foreboding feeling as soon as he stepped through the flew and dusted off the soot. As he looked around everything seemed normal. He shook it off as paranoia.

First thing first was finishing his lesson plans for the week and making sure everything was in order. When he was done Dumbledore came in followed by a blonde haired man in flashy robes. "Ah, Severus well prepared as always" He greeted the head master with a nod. "Of course, wouldn't have it any other way Headmaster" Albus smiled. "Severus I would like you to great our new DADA professor, Gildroy Lockheart. He is also a renowned author in the young adult community." He nodded  to the man. "Pleasure to meet you Mr. Lockheart. Now then if this is all I believe it is time for students to arrive" with that they all left for the great hall. Lockheart wouldn't stop talking the entire way. Once there severus took his usual spot next to Minerva McGonagall. Of course Sybill instantly was in the seat next to him, he would take her over the new git.

He watched as the returning students poured in looking for harry. He spotted him very quick thanks to granger's curly hair and was able to see he was physically okay. When harry sat at the slytherin table his godson soon joining him. He watched them interact and soon shook hands. He would have to ask about it later. The  banquet seemed to be droning on forever only filled with non stop talk about Gildroy. When it was coming to an end he slipped away to the dungeon to great the new Slytherins and quietly evaluated each one. Some need him to be more fatherly then others, but each coming from a troubled home of some sort. That's why he secretly like being head of house, seeing some of himself in the kids he watches over giving them the support they needed. He made sure they were all set and pointed out the door in the common room that connected to his chambers if anyone needed anything at all. He slipped through the door warding it behind him.

It was a few hours he was in his small kitchen making tea before he heard the door open and closed. A familiar sound of light footsteps could be heard coming closer followed by a pair of arms being wrapped around him. "It was only a few hours, missed me already?" A head rested in the middle of his back. "Yes, plus I literally feel your frustration about Lockheart"  Snape guessed his face wasn't as masked as he thought . He sighed "That man is going to be the death of me this year" he picked up the two cups and turned around in the boys embrace. Harry had a small sleepy grin on his face.  "Drink this tea then it's off to bed, understood?" He nodded and did just that. But not with out bidding the potions master a good night.
