Chapter ten

The rest of lunch was uncomfortable to say the least. As soon as I spoke with Pan I hurried back to Erik and sat down. I was still going through what had just happened,

Me? Magic?

"Hey, what happened?" The concern on Erik's face was genuine and I could only look at him with wide eyes before slightly shaking my head and looking down. How could I even remotely begin to explain the turn of events that had just taken place?

"I saw you and Pan...thing's looked pretty serious. I'm guessing plan Is Felix Straight? went south."

I laughed at this which made Erik smile,

"Yeah, that's one way of putting it..."

"Alessia, please be honest with me..." Erik was suddenly serious, and looked at me with his big chocolate brown eyes, "Is something going on between you and Pan, because as of right now I sense a bit of tension."

"What? No...I...I don't think so at least." As I said this I made eye contact with Pan before quickly looking away.

"Look- I know that Pan is cute and everything, and I know he seems charming. But that...that thing ...he isn't a boy-

He's practically a demon."

There was no wavering in his voice.

I knew Pan was a jerk, but I'd never seen him actively doing anything horrible enough to earn him the title of a demon...

"I don't understand, what exactly has Pan done that makes him so evil?"

Erik opened his mouth to speak when he was interrupted by the voice of Pan

"Boys, training in 5. I don't want to see anyone late, you know what happens if you are."

Erik looked at me and seemed to be apologizing with his eyes. He couldn't tell me...not here, not now. All the boys began to get up and make their way towards the training area. Some stretched and others lightly jogged in place to try and get their muscles warm. I still didn't understand why we had to train. It's not like there was anyone else on this island.

As Erik got up to join the others I decided then and there that I was not going to training, I didn't want to see Pan again. I'm guessing Pan didn't want to see me either because he didn't stop me when I got up and walked in the opposite direction of where we train. I went to the hammocks, I wanted to cool down and think things over, but it wasn't long until I began to drift into sleep...

There she was again, the girl in all black, the one with the blurred face.

And here I was again in the plain white room, with this plain white dress, wondering what had brought me back.

"Hello Alessia." Her voice was filled with hatred-a kind of hatred I knew but couldn't remember from where.

I didn't speak. She wasn't worth my words.

"You're such an idiot, letting emotion get to you like that. Do you know what happens when you let emotion in? It clogs your vision... messes with your senses. I mean look at you, your starting to develop feelings for Pan."

This made me speak.

"What? No!You don't know me."

"Oh but I do, don't I? I know what you think, how you feel... I know you better than you know yourself...

and I know you feel for Pan something you've never felt before, something dangerous. It makes sense though, that you would have feelings for him...

I suppose a monster would fall in love with a demon."

Tears pricked my eyes and my breathing accelerated.

"Shut up! Shut up, shut up, shut up!" My voice broke, her words sliced through my skin and cut my heart, I began to sob.

"I'm not a monster, it's not true!" I took a moment to breath before whispering, "It's not true...

I hate you."

The girl stepped closer to me before speaking in a voice that wasn't full of hatred, but sadness?

"I know."

I woke up with tears streaming down my face. That couldn't have just been a dream.

I noticed then that it was night, and that if I listened closely I could hear the sounds of Pan's music and the soft thumping of the lost boy's feet hitting the ground.

I decided to get up and walk, I couldn't stand being still. My dream was still too close, too real. I had been making my way along the lush trails of Neverland when I noticed an illuminated pool of water in the distance.

This was new...

A/N Hey, Hey, Hey. Hope you're enjoying the story so far. I bet most of you can guess what happens next chapter with the mysterious pool of water (duh, duh, duhhhhh). Whoops.
