"Wait, what? Say that again?" Robert said as he paused the game of Halo he was playing.
Craig sighed. "We don't have a merch girl and we're going on tour in two days."
"What happened to Cara?" Monte asked, looking over at Craig.
Cara had been their merch girl since they started playing bigger shows and actually started selling merchandise back in 2006.
"She said her parents were sending her to live with family in England or some bullshit, I don't know." Craig said.
"Well what the fuck are we going to do now?" Max shouted from the kitchen.
"We're just going to have to find someone to fill in for us." Craig said.
"How are we going to do that? We're getting ready to go on a six month tour in two days." Max said, poking his head in from the kitchen.
"What about your sister?" Robert asked Craig.
Craig shook his head. "All my family is still in Australia."
"Shit..Monte, you got any family members that would be willing to do this?" Robert asked.
"None that are old enough." Monte said, shrugging.
"We're fucked." Max said, walking back in and sitting down with his sandwich.
Craig was about to agree with him and then he snapped his fingers. "I got it! I think I might have someone!" he said.
The three of them watched as he ran out of the room, running up the stairs to his room and grabbing his cell phone.
"He better have someone good." Max said, mouth full of food.

Craig sat down on his bed and flipped his phone up, scrolling through the names until he found her.
He pressed 'TALK' and pressed his phone against his ear.
"Please answer." he said to himself as he listened to it ring.
~~~~~~~
Frankie rolled over when she heard her phone going off. Ironically enough, her ringtone was "Gorgeous Nightmare" by her favorite band, Escape the Fate.
They were her favorite band for two reasons, one, she had always had a crush on Max Green, the bassist, and two because her best friend Craig was now the lead singer, yet, she still has never had the courage to ask him to introduce her to the rest of the guys.
She found her phone under some books on her desk and pressed 'TALK' without looking at the caller I.D.
"Hello?" she asked, still half asleep.
"Frankie? Hey! It's Craig, are you awake?" came her best friend's bubbly voice.
Frankie groaned. "I am now." she said. "This better be good."
"It is, if you agree to it." Craig said.
Frankie sat up. "Agree to what?" she asked.
"Okay..weneedamerchgirlandireallywantyoutotakethejob,please?" Craig said, in one complete breath.
"Wait, slow down, repeat that again?" Frankie asked, yawning.
Craig sighed. "We need a merch girl, our last one just up and quit and we're going on tour in two days, for six months and you're the only one I know of that would even be remotely interested." he said.
"You want me to sell merchandise for your band?" Frankie asked, finally getting it.
"Yes. Please Franny." Craig said, only he was allowed to call her that.
Frankie sighed. "Okay..but I'm going to have to talk to my boss." she said.
"Yay! I love you. Come by my house later today, so you can finally meet the guys, it's long over due." he said.
"I love you too and yeah, yeah, I'll come by later. Now, can I go back to sleep?" she said.
"No. It's twenty til 10 and you have to go to work." Craig said.
"Fuck. Thanks for the wake up call then, I'll come by later today, after work, okay?" she said.
"Sure thing sis. See ya." Craig said.
"Later bro." Frankie said and they hung up.
As she showered and got ready for work, she thought over what Craig had said. Being Escape the Fate's merch girl probably wouldn't be that bad, she would be able to see her best friend all the time, considering she hasn't seen much of him, even before he was in Escape the Fate (because he was in Blessthefall and The Word Alive).
And according to Craig, Monte and Robert were pretty chill guys and would probably think of her as a little sister, like he did. And Max, well, she just hoped that she wouldn't blurt out that she was completely and madly in love with the boy, even Craig didn't know that.
Craig came back downstairs, a smile on his face.
"Well, who'd you call?" Monte asked.
"My friend, Frankie." Craig said.
"Boy or girl?" Robert asked.
"Girl. I grew up with her. Anyways, she said she'll probably do it, I told her to come by today, after work so you guys can meet her, trust me, you'll love her." Craig said.
"I won't. I hate girls." Max said.
Craig rolled his eyes and ruffled Max's hair.
"So, we got that part taken care of, yeah?" Robert asked.
"Yeah beause I have a feeling Frankie's boss will give her the six month leave or just fire her and we'll just keep her as our permant merch girl." Craig said.
"Let's just see if we're even going to like this girl before we start talking about permant solutions and shit." Max said, obviously not giving a damn about Craig's friend.
"Max is right. We gotta make sure she clicks with the rest of us." Monte said.
"Well, we'll find out in about five hours." Craig said, sitting back on the couch.
