Chapter 12

Annie

I woke up the next day to yelling outside. I climbed down the ladder and walked over to the kitchen/living room area. I looked out a window and saw Rush and Hayden facing each other.

"Rush, for the last time! I'm not stealing Annie away from you or anyone else!" Hayden yelled, obviously annoyed.

"I'm not saying that! I'm just saying that you didn't need to have your arm around her like you guys are dating!" Rush yelled back.

"She was tired! What was I supposed to do?"

"I'm just saying you should let someone who knows her better take care of her." Rush crossed his arms.

"So you want me to just back off?" Hayden asked.

"Yes! You need to back off of her. Just accept the fact that you two won't get back together!" Rush shouted.

"I don't want to start a fight."

"You think I do? I just really need you to ge-"

The other tour bus door opened and there stood Brennan. "Can you guys please shut up and stop fighting over Annie. You guys are being way too loud and so childish. Heck, you even woke up Annie. You do realize she's been standing by that window this whole time pretty much?"

All eyes went on me. I did the classic "Annie eye roll" and walked away.

"Annie!" Rush and Hayden yelled.

"Rush! Get in here now. Hayden, you go in your bus. See you later." Brennan demanded.

I'm pretty sure they listened to him because Hayden came back in the bus without Rush.

I was sitting down in the "living room."

He walked past me with his head down.

"I'm not mad at you, you know. I heard the argument. You didn't do anything wrong." I said which made him stop, and turn around.

"Really?"

"Yeah, I mean, you were just stating facts. It is hard not to agree with my best friend, but I don't know if we'll be best friends after this." I said sadly.
"He's just getting too jealous ever since you came. Like, yeah, he does like me, but I do-"

"Rush likes you?" Hayden asked.

"It doesn't matter. I think Rush and I just need some time."

He nodded.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"12:03pm. Why?"

"I'm hungry, but everyone else is still asleep." I sighed.

"We could just go get something. Just the two of us."

"Um, ok." I said getting up.

"Great it's a date! I mean, you know what I mean! Let's just get changed." He said nervously laughing.

I laughed along and got changed in the bathroom.

I decided to not do my hair and makeup so I just brushed my hair a little bit and walked out of the bathroom. I walked out and Hayden's hair was wet and really curly. I forgot he had curly hair because he would always straighten it. He was also wearing glasses. He looked nice.

"I love your hair." I said to him.

"Thanks." He smiled. "Shall we?" He asked opening the door.

"We shall." I laughed.

This is gonna be fun.
