Chapter 51

Joel POV

The sketchy dude? What sketchy dude? I'd really like i Lizzie didn't hang up before we finished talking, I just want to know where she is.

I still don't think she just ran away. Lizzie always said in the phone that she would even think to do that, that she wouldn't know where to go, what to do. Where ever she is, I hope she's safe.

"Dude lets go, is not dealing with Mr heel by myself." Callum complained dragging me up the corridor. Mr heel is our woodwork teacher who we both hate.

"He's not that bad." I lied dragging my feet along the ground as I walked. "Yeah, okay. Has he called your mum yet saying that you may as well be trying to teach a brick when you're in his class?" Callum argued.

I laughed a little and walked in the class room, as much as I tried I couldn't get Lizzie off my mind. Where could she be? What happened to her? Lizzie doesn't just disappear.

Lizzie POV

Malcom gave me a rubber ball so I could "entertain" myself. If anything it made me realise how messed up this is. My definition of entertainment was seeing a movie with my friend. Not bouncing a ball against the wall.

Maddies POV

"Still no look?" Malcom asked as I took a seat on his floor looking depressed as ever. "I just have no idea where she-" I was interrupted by a thumping sound. I ignored it at first but then drew my attention to it after the 20th thump.

"What the hell is that?" I asked. Malcom laughed nervously. "It's the electrical box, it's messed up we're having a guy come look at it today.

The thump didn't sound like an electrical error, it sounded like someone throwing a ball against a wood door. I checked my clock, 9:45pm.

"I better at least show my face at school today, later Malcom." He waved goodbye as I left.

Walking into school I was tugged out into an empty hall way. "Joel?" He shushed me. "Maddie, I don't think Lizzie ran away. That's not like her!" He said.

I nodded my head. "I said that to my parents but they didn't want to think about her being kidnapped, the just kept on telling me that she was fine and she shouldnt have ran away."

Joel sighed. "So it didn't look like there going to be of any use, Maddie you wanna find Lizzie right?" I nodded my head. "Obviously!" I said enthusiastically. He smiled.

"We're going to have to work together then, but you can't tell anyone. If the kidnapper finds out they're going to relocate." I promised not to tell a soul.

It was settled, after school today Joel and I would hunt for the person who took Lizzie, we were going to find clues, get answers but most importantly, get Lizzie home!

Lizzie POV

"You can't say I'm an electrical error forever!" I shouted. Malcom laughed. "What makes you think your going to be here for much longer?"

"Are you going to let me out?" I argued. "No." I rolled my eyes in response . "My point exactly!" I snapped.

"Can you shut up I'm trying to think!"
"Can you let me out?" I fought back. "Elizabeth shut up!" He shouted. Like I give year old I started to scream la over and over again. I heard him get up.

"Where you going?" I shouted. "Away from you!" And with that he slammed the door. If he didn't like me that much then why was I here?

I looked around the room, what could help me escape. A chair, lucky me there was no window. Great. This was hopeless. "Hello?" I heard a sweet voice say, the voice sounded like a seven year old but I couldn't be sure.

I waited a minute or two before responding. "Hello?" I answered back. "Uh, hi!" I could tell the person was petrified as their voice was shaken. "I won't hurt you, I'm not working with him." I explained.

"I can tell, you just seem so fierce." The voice continued. I laughed. "I'm only mean to him, how long have you been here?" I asked.

"Actually I was hoping Malcom was here, you must be the electrician, I'll be on my way." I heard the voice drift away. What did they mean by election? After the cove had left it then stuck me that it was maddie.
