Opening the door, I let out a sigh before rushing up the stairs. I made it to my bedroom door and opened it only to be engulfed with a hug. Pulling away I looked at Mom.
"You frightened me! Where the hell did you go!" She yelled and I bit my lip.
"I'm sorry." I whispered and she shook her head.
"Why would you do that? You know how much trouble you could be in?" She said and I sighed.
"I said I'm sorry." I said again and she shook her head.
"Sorry doesn't cover it." She said holding her hand towards my window. With a swift movement a vine came down and slammed the window shut before covering the seal.
"What are you doing!?" I screamed and she turned to me.
"Locking your window." She said walking to my doorway.
"What if there's a fire?" I asked and she shook her head.
"My vines will move in the case of an emergency." She said and I Crossed my arms.
"What if I need air?" I asked and she crossed hers.
"Should have thought of that before sneaking out!" She said and I stomped.
"It's not fair!" I screamed and her jaw dropped.
"Bruce was right." She said as tears built up in her eyes.
"He doesn't know anything!" I yelled and she shook her head.
"I'm not having this conversation with you." She said before closing my door and walking down the hall. I quickly opened it and followed her.
"You'll agree with them instead of me!?" I yelled and Dick opened the door watching us walk down the hall.
"That's enough Lily." She said as we passed Dick.
"No! You listen to me!" I screamed as she went down the steps. She stopped turning and looking at me.
"If you side with them then you are a horrible mother!" I screamed and looked at her. I noticed the tears dripping from her chin as she stood there.
"If I don't then I am a horrible mother." She said looking down. The front door behind her opened and Bruce walked in with Clark.
"What's going on here?" Clark asked.
"I-I... I HATE YOU! I WISH YOU WEREN'T MY MOTHER!" I screamed and she wrapper her arms around herself.
"Knock it off." Bruce yelled but I ignored him.
"YOUR WORTHLESS!" I screamed making the house shake. She stopped and looked at me.
"Your right." She said before turning and running out the open front door. Bruce followed her while Clark flew up to me as fast as possible. Grabbing my shoulder he pushed me against the wall. I seen Dick move from the door of Zena's room and come running.
"Lily." Clark said with an angry tone. He instantly wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into a hug.
"You don't mean the horrible things you said." He said and I felt tears building in my eyes.
"It's unfair!" I cried and he pulled away. He looked into my eyes with his hands on my shoulders. I could see Dick standing there watching.
"Life's unfair Lily Ann. Just because your a super hero doesn't mean that everything is fair." He said and I rolled my eyes.
"I didn't say that." I said and he sighed.
"You thought it." He explained and I crossed my arms.
"We are all just trying to protect you and help you make better choices than we made." He said and I met his eyes.
"Why?" I asked and he smiled.
"Because we love you too much to see you ruin your life." He explained and I sighed.
"But I'm not ruining it." I said and he gave me a understanding look.
"We don't know what your doing when we aren't around and when you do things your not supposed to then people tend to think you are doing something bad." He explained and I scoffed.
"I'm not a child!" I yelled and he straightened up.
"Your right but you are humanoid." He explained and I looked down.
"Isn't the expression human?" I asked and he grabbed my chin.
"Yes but you are not just human. You are plant, super hero and human." He said as he pulled my chin up.
"We all make mistakes."
