I pretended to cry and ran up the stairs. I knew plan B as I entered my room and closed the door. Climbing out the window a vine grew to help me from the second story. As I reached the ground it sunk back into the dirt. I ran down the drive way and pulled my sweater hood on as I entered the city. Walking down the blocks I passed grandpa's work and walked down the street. I reached the Justice Hall. I walked around and jumped the gate. In the court yard was a bench, where I sat. I picked at my nails as he jumped the gate. Standing as he approached I held out my arms as he embraced me and our lips met. We stayed like that for a few minutes before breaking away, gasping for air.
"Diana told me you couldn't come. I figured you'd come here." Bobby said cupping my cheek. I smiled up at him and sighed.
"Bruce caught on." I said and he raised a brow.
"Does he know everything?" He asked as we sat on the bench.
"Not that I know. I told him we were only hanging out." I said and he held my hand to his chest.
"Only hanging out." He said kissing me again. I pulled my leg over the side of the bench and he pulled my closer as we kissed.
"You should probably not do that at the Justice Hall." We both jumped and turned to see Diana standing there with her arms crossed.
"Diana." He said looking down.
"Bobby... What the hell?" She cursed.
"My god daughter? Seriously?" She said seriously. After a few minutes she burst out with laughter.
"You two are soooooooooo cute." She said sitting beside me.
"So your not mad?" He asked and she looked past me at him.
"Oh I'm fucking furious." She said smiling. I gave him a look before he wrapped his arms around me.
"Because you didn't tell me! And because your getting some before me." She said giving us a pouting face.
"Sorry Diana." He said scratching the back of his neck.
"We haven't had sex." I blurted out and she looked between us.
"Really?" She asked and I blushed.
"Not yet." He said honestly and pulled me into a hug.
"I respect my girlfriend enough to wait until we are married." He said and her jaw dropped.
"Okay now I'm only mad cause you didn't tell me!" She said turning to me and pulling me into a hug.
"What was going on in that pretty head not yours?" She asked and Bobby cleared her throat.
"We wanted to tell all of you." He said and she looked at him and stopped smothering me.
"When?" She asked and I looked down.
"When I got an answer for prom." He said looking at me.
"Ohmygod." She said as one word and looked at me.
"He asked you to prom!?" She practically jumped up in down in her seat.
"Yes, but she hasn't answered." He said looking down. I looked at him and the sick feeling I had everytime I thought about filled my chest.
"Why?" Diana asked pulling my face up to look into her eyes.
"I, um, don't know." I said pulling my face from her hands and wrapping my arms around my body. Bobby noticed I was uncomfortable but Diana didnt.
"Well that's not cool, don't leave him hanging!" She said pushing my arm. I know she meant well but I didn't do great under pressure of people I cared about. With one look I gave Bobby I was up running away. Behind me I could hear Bobby's footsteps. As we made it to the street he stopped me and pulled me into an alley.
"Hey." He said as I began to cry.
"It's okay." He pulled me into a hug as Diana caught up.
"I-I'm sorry for whatever I said." She told me before turning and walking away. I put my face against his chest as silent tears fell from my eyes.
"I'm not pushing you to do anything you don't want to Lily. I like you a lot." He said and I looked up into his face before pulling him into another passionate kiss. He pushed his body closer to mine and I wrapped my arm around his neck forgetting all about the Prom.
