I smiled as the front door opened and Dick and Kara walked in.
"Hello sister." Kara cheered setting all the bags she carried in her hands down. Dick followed her, carrying ten times as many and set them all down but one.
"What's that?" I asked pointing at the small box.
"Oh it's some new cufflinks for my suit." He said smiling and turning.
"I'm going to check on Zena." He said but I cleared my throat.
"Dad just finished moving her upstairs into the room next to yours." I told him and he turned to me raising a brow.
"But that's your room?" He said and I smiled.
"I moved mine down the hall more." I told him and he looked down.
"You love that room." He said and I sighed.
"Go see Zena." I told him and he gave me a smile before turning and heading up the stairs.
"What's in the bags?" I asked and Kara began pulling things out and showing them off.
"She is going to look great in the summer dress." She said and I giggled.
"But it's still cold?" I said and she looked at me.
"To tell you the truth I don't know when she'll wake up so I wanted to be prepared when she does." She told me.
"Other than the dress I got her all things that can go in all weather, and the essentials." She said and I smiled.
"Okay take those to the washing room so I can wash them and have them ready for her bath." I told her and she nodded carrying the bags away. When she returned she sighed.
"I got a job today." I told her and she raised a brow.
"How? No offense but with you working that's going to be hard to be undercover." She said and I smiled turning away and grabbing the tea pot.
"I am going to the college to teach botany." I told her and she smiled.
"With green skin?" She asked and I sighed.
"I told them I had a rare condition making my skin oddly green looking." I said as I placed the full tea pot on the burner.
"Hello Ladies." Alfred said as he walked into the kitchen.
"Shoo let me do this." He said and I moved out of his way to join Kara on the other side of the bar.
"Really?" She asked and I nodded.
"And they fell for it?" She asked and I sighed before nodding.
"Teachers these days." She said rolling her eyes and walking into the livingroom.
"Speaking of school when do you go back?" I asked and I heard her groan before smiling.
"Well the school was unfortunately damaged in the crisis so whenever they get it back up and going?" She said from the other room.
"I actually heard that they were close to finishing the high school and elementary with Master Bruce's charity." Alfred spoke up as the tea finished.
"Yeah but we usually have a couple weeks out for christmas." Kara said from the other room.
"Kara it's November. They might get you in a couple weeks before." I said and she walked in the hall with her coat and a scarf wrapped around her body.
"One, I doubt that. Two, if it happens I'm punching you." She said sending me a glare and turning.
"Where are you going?" Clark asked as he walked down the stairs.
"My friend is taking me to bowling alley if that is okay with you Dad?" She asked rolling her eyes.
"Yes, but be back by ten." He said pointing at the clock above the door. It's read 6pm.
"Okay Dad love you all!" She called before opening the door and leaving.
"Love you too." I murmured as Dad came in the kitchen.
"Hello darling." Father said taking a seat next to me.
"Hello Alfred." He said and Alfred nodded his head in respect. Alfred placed a cup of tea before me before turning to Dad.
"Coffee, sir?" He asked and Dad nodded.
"How is your day going Heli?" Dad asked as he yawned.
"Late start eh?" I asked and he smiled.
"I wonder why?" I asked moving my eyebrows up and down.
"First yes me and my fiancee haven't had a night together since before the fight. Second I am not having this discussion with my daughter." He said and I giggled.
"I know where Kara got it." I whispered and Alfred smiled before placing Dad's coffee before him.
"So Dad." I said turning to him as he took a sip of his coffee.
"Daughter?" He asked as he lowered it from his mouth.
"I got a job." I told him and he gave me a side glance.
"What about your appearance?" He asked and I looked down.
"Well I told them it was a rare illness and they believed it." I told him and he turned towards me.
"Really? Where is this job?" He asked and I smiled. He lifted his cup to take another drink.
"The college." I said smiling at myself and he spit his coffee all of the counter.
"What?" He asked and I turned to him.
"I'm teaching Botany." I told him and he smiled as he wiped the coffee from his chin. Alfred washed the counter off before Dad set his cup down.
"I'm so proud of you, sweetheart." He told me and I smiled standing and walking from the room.
