"My answer is...."
Pause.
She took a deep breath.
Silence hung the air.
"Your answer please?" James choked.
Silence.
"N-Ye..N-Ye-o-n-" Hannah tried to say.
Pause.
She took a deep breath
"Come on!" Sirius whined impatiently.
Hannah looked at the ground.
Pause
Silence.
"It's..."
She paused.
"No." Hannah finished. James' eyes were full of hurt as he watched Hannah slowly regret her choice.
Did I mean to say "no"? Hannah asked herself. She ran out of the kitchens and slowly cried, biting her bottom lip.
I meant to say Yes, but the way he looked at me....I can't go back and change my mistake. I've learned my lesson.
