40.) What's Meant to Be Will Be

It's been a week since Jack proposed to me and it has been the best week of my life. Jack moved into my apartment and has been the best Dad anyone could ask for.

Theo loves to have him around, and so do i. I can't believe that after four long years it's finally going to happen.

I rolled over in my bed to see a sleeping Jack. He looked so peaceful and i couldn't help but smile. He means the world to me and knowing that i don't have to watch him live another girl is the best thing to ever happen to me. If someone told me three years ago that Jack and I would wind up married, i would tell them to get lost. We've had many bumps in our relationship but thankfully he never gave up on me.

I looked past Jack and into Theo's crib. He was playing with his feet which made me laugh. He was one of the biggest reasons why Jack and I are where we are. Theo made us realize how much we love each other.

At least that's what i realized when i found out Jack was Theo's father. I secretly hoped that Jack was Theo's dad. I felt the safest with him.

I got up from my bed and made my way into my kitchen. I decided to make breakfast for everyone so i got out the pancake mix and started baking.

I made chocolate chip pancakes and made Theo his formula with some cut up strawberries. Theo goes nuts for fruit. Clearly he is not my child.

I whistled a song to myself as i cooked and i felt two arms wrap around my waist. I jumped at the initial touch but once i realized it was Jack i smiled.

He rested his chin on my shoulder and kissed my neck. "How's my beautiful fiancé?" He asked and i felt all warm and fuzzy inside.

"Have i ever told you that I'm so madly in love with you?" I asked and I could feel Jack smiling.

"I can't believe that we're going to be married in a few months. I've been waiting for this day since i met you." He walked over the island and took a seat. He watched my cook and i felt myself blushing. The love of my life sat a few feet away from me and watched me cook for our family.

Once i made a stack of pancakes i placed them on a plate and then started to clean up. I didn't want to clean the counter and the pan after i are so i got it over with.

Jack went to our room and got our son. I love saying that! He put Theo in his high chair and we all started eating.

"These are delicious! Theo your mommy is an amazing cook!" Jack exclaimed and Theo laughed. I took a sip of my orange juice and smiled at my two idiots.

"Hey Jack i have a serious question for you." I said and Jack looked at me as he shoved a pancake in his mouth. I shook my head laughing at how stupid he looked.

"Are you sure that you want to marry me?" I knew that i sounded stupid but it all seemed to good to be true.

Jack had a more serious look on his face. "Bria, from the moment i first met you to this exact moment, i knew that you were the one i wanted to be with for the rest of my life. I'm never going to leave you, not again." I started tearing up.

Jack grabbed my hand and kissed it. "I love you." He whispered and i smiled so wide I️ thought my lips were going to crack.

We finished eating and Jack cleaned up. I cleaned up Theo and we sat on the couch to watch a show. After Jack finished cleaning up he joined us.

"My lovely wife to be and my amazing son sitting right next to me." Jack put his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer to him. He kissed the side of my head and when i turned to face him he kissed me. I put Theo on the floor so he could play with his toys.
