Chapter 3 The Project

I woke up to my alarm going off.I grabbed my phone and turned off my alarm I got up and went to my closet and picked out my clothes.I took off my pajamas and put on my new pairs of clothes.I grabbed my brush and brushed out my hair I grabbed a hair tie and put my hair in a messy bun.I grabbed my backpack and headed downstairs I placed my backpack onto the table and grabbed a pop tart for breakfast.I heard someone walking down the stairs I look over and see Jared,"Hey bath boi." I greeted
"Hey."he greeted back while grabbing something to eat,"Who were you on the phone with yesterday?"he asked
"How did you know I was even on the phone last night?"I asked
"Because sometimes I would go upstairs to my room and I heard you talking."He said
"Oh well I was talking to Connor."I replied he looked at me like I was crazy
"Seriously your going to start hanging out with that freak."he said while sitting at the table
"That's not nice Jared we've talked about this and besides he's not even that bad.You should get to know him."I said
"Yea thanks but no thanks.What will people start to say when they see you with Connor they already call you a slut."he explained
"It doesn't matter what people think about me."I said while crossing my arms.Jared adjusted his glasses,"If you say so.But just please be careful."he said he went to the table and started eating his breakfast ~timeskip to school~
Me and Jared were at our lockers grabbing what we needed,"H-hey guys."I heard a voice behind me I looked over behind me and saw Evan.I smiled,"Hey Evan."I greeted waving at him.He waved back I closed my locker and locked it,"Bye Jared see you at lunch."I said while walking away with Evan,"Okay bye."Jared said me and Evan started walking to our first class science.Me and Evan went to class I saw Connor sitting way in the back of the classroom.I decided to sit with him,"Hey Evan why don't we sit with Connor?"I suggested I looked over at Evan he looked at me nervously,"U-uh umm okay then."he said we walked to the back of the class and I sat in the middle of Evan and Connor.I tapped Connors shoulder he looked over at me,"Hey Connor."I greeted with a smile.He waved,"Hey."he said he looked over my shoulder and noticed Evan he waved.I looked over at Evan he shyly waved I looked back over at Connor and smiled.I grabbed my notebook out of my backpack and put it onto the desk I grabbed pencil and started to draw in it.~timeskip~
It was the middle of science class and let me tell you it's going slow,"Okay class so on what we learned today you guys are going to be working on a project.You have to make a model of atoms.Its due in three weeks so do your best.You will be having partners for this and instead of you guys choosing your partners.I will be choosing for you."the teacher announced the class groaned the teacher started calling out names,"Zoe with Evan."The teacher said I looked over at a blushing Evan I nudged him playfully.He looked over at me while rubbing his arm with his face still red I smiled,"And Connor with (Y/N)."I looked over at Connor and smiled he just shrugged I looked back over at Evan he playfully nudged me and smiled I just rolled my eyes playfully while smiling.I looked back over at Connor,"Hey want to come over my place and start the project after school?"I asked Connor looked over at me,"Umm yea sure."he replied the bell rang I grabbed my backpack and headed to my second class today's such a long day I thought ~timeskip because I'm lazy and tired srry~
It was finally time to go home thank God it's Friday I told Jared that Connors coming over.Jared didn't like it but oh well it's for school I was waiting for Jared to get out of class while I was waiting with Connor.Since we're all walking home together Zoe and Evan decided to do the project at her house.I teased Evan all day today and let me just say he was so red he looked like he was going to explode it was so adorable,"Do your parents know that I'm going over."Connor asked while putting his hands in his pockets.I looked over at him,"Oh no but my aunt does my parents are on a business trip.They'll be gone for a month."I said he nodded
"Hey (Y/N)."I heard a voice call out from behind me I looked over and saw Jared walking behind me,"Hey."I greeted,"Let's head home I'm tired."I said we all started walking it was very very quiet and very awkward.I wanted to try to start a conversation but I don't know what to talk to both Connor and Jared about I don't think they have anything in common.We were almost home thank God only have two more minutes and we're home,"You guys want to race to the house?"I asked
"Sure."Connor said
"I guess."Jared said
"Okay on your mark get set go!"I shouted as we all started sprinting to the house Jared ran to the front door and placed his hand on it,"I win losers."Jared exclaimed while panting I placed my hands on my knees and was trying to catch my breath,"Okay yeah yeah we got it."I said while in between of trying to catch my breath Jared unlocked the front door and walked into the house I walked inside the house with Connor by my side.I closed the front door behind us and locked it.I walked into the kitchen and grabbed two water bottles one for me and one for Connor,"Here Connor."I said while handing him the the water bottle he thanked me and took it,"We should head upstairs to work on the project."I said Connor nodded,"You can head upstairs to my room it's the second door on the left.I just need to tell my aunt that we're here." I said he just nodded and headed upstairs.I went into the living room and saw Aunt Mel,"Hey Aunt Mel I have a friend over for a school project."I said
"Oh okay how long is she staying.?"My Aunt asked I laughed
"It's actually a guy."I said while giggling
"Oh my bad."She said while laughing my Aunt Mel hasn't been in our lives that much she just kinda does her own thing so she doesn't really know that much about us,"Well be careful okay?"she said I smiled and nodded.I headed upstairs and went to my room I saw Connor sitting on my bed.I dumped my backpack onto the bed,"Hey sorry if I took a long time."I said
"Oh no you didn't."he replied
"Your parents know your here right?"I asked
"I'm sure Zoe told them I'm here."He replied I just nodded
"We should get started."I said I grabbed my laptop that was on my dresser.I opened it and put my password in,"I'll look up some pictures of atoms so we can start making the model."I said
"Okay."He said I started looking at some images for the project.~timeskip~
Connors p.o.v.
We were almost done with the project,"Let's take a break." (Y/N) said,"We worked pretty hard on it.Want a snack?I'll go get us a snack."She said and headed out of the room to go get us a snack.(Y/N) is very out going I've noticed a lot of things about her.She's always positive and nice to people no matter how mean they are.I remember hearing Zoe talking about her but not in a bad way.I remember a few months ago people were calling her a slut because she got pregnant with her kid.I didn't ever really pay attention to the rumors I just didn't get them.Obviously I'm not going to bring up the past because I don't want her upset or something.Sometimes I wonder how she's able to do school and raise a child it must be hard.I wonder if she regrets it?I mean she's a pretty strong person especially from all the shit she's been through.I heard after she got pregnant her boyfriend ended up moving a few weeks after he found out.Who knows where he moved to it's probably better for (Y/N) though it's probably easier to just raise her daughter/son.I mean hell it would be easier for me if I was her.I looked around her room and saw her dresser besides her bed and noticed a picture of her and I believe Jared when they were younger.Then there was picture of her with her son/daughter (Y/N) was cradling her daughter/son while laying in a hospital bed she was looking into the camera with a bright smile on her face.I smiled at the picture she's a hell of a strong person.With only two days knowing her she's a pretty strong person and very outgoing she always has a smile on her face no matter what,"I'm back."I looked up at her,"Oh cool."I said she sat on the bed cross crossed next to me while dumping snacks onto the bed.I scooted over next to her and grabbed a snack she brought.I opened the bag and ate the snack.(Y/N) also started eating the snacks.She got back onto her laptop and started typing something onto it,"Want to listen to some music?"She asked I nodded,"Sure."I replied she started playing f/b I was surprised,"Wow you listen to f/b?"I asked surprised
"Heck yeah their hella cool!"She exclaimed while laughing,"I've listened to every album."she exclaimed
"Really?"I asked
"Heck yea what's your favorite song by them?"She asked
"Oooh that's tough but I got to go with f/s."I answered
"Same here it's so good."She said
"I never thought you would be into this kind of music."I said
"Yeah a lot of people say that."she said while giggling I nodded
"I can see why though."I said she smiled at me I grinned we kept on talking.Now that I'm with her right now it seems like everything doesn't seem to matter or bother me.When she talks about something she's passionate about something her eyes light up.When she smiles it could light up the whole world.We were interrupted with a knock on the door,"Come in!"(Y/N) called out the door opened revealing Jared he looked at us,"Aunt Mel said dinners almost done and she was wondering if Connors staying for dinner."he said
"Oh do you want to stay for dinner Connor?"(Y/N) asked,"My Aunt won't mind if you do."(Y/N) said
"Ummm sure I guess so."I answered
"I guess I'll let Aunt Mel know."Jared said while closing the door.I took out my phone out of my pocket and texted my mom and told her I'm staying late.I put my phone back into my pocket (Y/N) looked at me and smiled,"My aunt will be excited to meet you."she said
"Oh cool."I replied
"She's never really been around in our lives but she's met a few of my friends she didn't really like them."She said
"Why not?"I asked
"I don't know but now I can see why after....an event happened they all seemed to turn on me or call me things that weren't true."she explained
"Oh I'm sorry that must've really sucked."I said,"But I wouldn't know the feeling because I've never had friends."I said while chipping off my black nail polish.
"Well I'm your friend now so don't worry about it."She said I looked over at her she still had that bright smile on her face.I smiled back at her,"Dinners ready!"We heard I guess would be her Aunt yelling from downstairs,"Let's go downstairs."(Y/N) said I nodded.
(Y/N) p.o.v.
Me and Connor headed downstairs and went to the kitchen we sat down at the kitchen table.My aunt looked over at us,"Oh hi I'm (Y/N)'s Aunt you can call me Mel."My aunt Mel said with a bright smile,"So are you (Y/N)'s boyfriend because let me tell you guys made a wonderful child together."My Aunt Mel continued I heard Jared choke on his food.I felt my face heat up.I actually forgot that my Aunt Mel didn't know that me and my ex actually broke up with me after he found out I was pregnant.This shows how much my Aunt Mel doesn't know about me and my brother but it's also kinda of my moms fault for not telling her.But then again I can't point fingers I could've told her myself but I didn't think something like this would happen.I looked over at Connor who's face was also red I don't know what to do my Aunt Mel will feel really embarrassed and I've seen her get embarrassed when I was like ten let me tell you it was very awkward and I felt very bad for her,"Ummm yes he is."I quickly replied I looked over at my Aunt Mel she smiled brightly.I heard Jared choke again he started coughing.I looked over at Jared with pleading eyes but he was to busy coughing.I looked over at Connor and quickly mouthed a sorry,his face is the most reddest thing I've ever seen in my life.Jared finally seemed to get himself together,"I need to use the bathroom."Jared said while excusing himself from the table.Me and Connor started eating in a very awkward silence I don't think my aunt seemed to notice she was to busy in her own world,"After you guys are done I made some dessert for you guys to eat."My Aunt Mel said happily
"Oh thank you Aunt Mel."I said smiling brightly
"You know I never got your name."My Aunt Mel said to Connor
"Oh it's Connor."He replied politely I looked over at him and awkwardly smiled
"Oh that's such a wonderful name."My aunt exclaimed happily
"Oh ummm thank you also have a wonderful name."Connor said Aunt Mel smiled
"Well umm I think we're finished eating."I said while getting up with Connor my Aunt Mel nodded,"Well I'll clean up so that way we can have dessert."My Aunt Mel said I nodded and grabbed Connor's arm and headed upstairs.I got into my room and sat on the bed while letting Connors arm go,"Sorry about that I really am I just didn't want to upset my aunt Mel.And trust me you don't want to see her having a break down of embarrassment."I said Connor just looked at me
"It's fine."he replied,"Your brother looked like he was going to die."
"Yeah he probably would've."I said while giggling Connor laughed I looked over at him his laugh was the most amazing thing I've ever heard,the way his eyes were closed while he laughed, and the way he smiled it was the most comforting sight I've ever seen.I smiled at him.Connor calmed down from laughing and looked over at me smiling I smiled back at him.
