Chapter 16 Small Steps

Your P.O.V.
I was a little late to school today. I was sitting in English class next to Evan. The class was coming to an end,"Remember to turn in your essay by tomorrow. Your dismissed early." The teacher says I turn over to Evan,"So how you been?" I asked he looked at me and fiddled with his hands,"Well I umm I got my cast off so that's pretty cool...I guess.. what about you?" He asked while packing his backpack. I started packing my backpack as well,"Nothing much I'm planning (S/D/N) party. I can't believe she/he's going to be one." I say with a sigh. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and me and Evan started walking,"Yeah that is pretty crazy. You know I can well if you want I can help out.." he says I smile at him,"More the merrier." I say we finally headed to our next class.~○~
It was finally lunch time and I was planning out (S/D/N) party,"What are writing?" I heard Connor ask while wrapping his arm around my waist. I turn to him with a smile," A list for (S/D/N) her/his birthday isn't that far away." I said.
"Sounds exciting. How far is it until his/her birthday?" He asked.
"About three and a half weeks away. I can't believe she/he's going to be one." I say with a frown Connor chuckled,"Its alright babe." He comforted me. I went back to writing my list while snacking on my lunch here and there.~○~
School came to an end. Connor and I went to my house and hung out in my room. My parents were a bit busy doing their own thing. I was playing with (S/D/N) on the bed,"She/He's so precious." Connor said while placing his chin on my shoulder. He held out his hand and (s/d/n) grabbed his finger and held it tightly,"Dada!" She said excitedly.
"Connor did you hear that?! She called you daddy!" I exclaimed happily. I looked over at his smiling face,"Yeah that's me!" He says happily I smiled widely. I carried (S/D/N) gently by the waist so she could stand. She/He was wobbling over to Connor grinned as she/he was attempting to walk to him. I let him/her go and she/he started walking to him while  giggling. Connor smiled when (s/d/n) walked right into his arms. Connor held her/him in his arms. He chuckled and placed a kiss on her/his head and cradled him/her,"Good job sweetie." He said with a smile on his face. I placed a kiss on Connors cheek and smiled. I placed my head on his shoulder and sighed happily.
