Chapter 6 Why Me?

your p.o.v.
I woke up  to my alarm going off.I grabbed my phone and turned off my alarm I got up and went to my closet and changed.I grabbed my brush and brushed my hair out quickly I grabbed my phone and put it in my pocket.I headed downstairs and went to go eat breakfast I made myself some cereal and grabbed a spoon before walking over to the table.I sat down and started eating my breakfast I heard Jared come down I looked over at him,"Hey bath boi."I greeted with a smile but also a nervous one he just kept walking into the kitchen and poured himself some cereal,"Jared come on are you mad at me?"I asked he just kept acting liking he didn't hear me I heard him sigh frustratedly,"Yeah I am mad because I didn't think you were actually dating Connor Murphy."he said angrily
"I don't know what to tell you."I said Jared said nothing I shook my head and went upstairs to my room and grabbed my backpack and headed back downstairs,"I'll walk to school by myself."I said to Jared who was still ignoring me.I walked to the front door and closed it I started heading to school.~...~
I walked into my first period class and saw Connor sitting in his usual spot in class.I walked all the way to the back of the class and sat next to Connor,"Hey."I greeted with a small smile Connor looked over and smiled,"Hey what's up?"he said smiling
"The sky duh."I said in a funny sarcastic voice he shook his head
"Smartass."he mumbled
"I know."I said while whipping my hair off my shoulder dramatically.I giggled I felt my phone vibrate I took it out of my pocket it was Jared.

I shook my head and frowned I put my phone back into my pocket,"What's wrong?"Connor asked I looked up at him and shook my head,"Nothing."I lied while smiling.Connor looked unconvinced he was about to say something until I heard a voice from behind me,"H-hey guys."I looked behind me and saw Evan,"Hey."I greeted with a smile.Evan sat down and was awkwardly messing with his shirt I noticed his cast had another signature on it.I smirked when I saw who's name it was,"So you got Zoe to sign your cast?"I asked Evan blushed and nodded I giggled at him.
Connor's p.o.v.
I know there's something wrong with (y/n) she just doesn't want to say anything.The bell rang and class started I looked over at (y/n) and saw her paying attention to whatever the teacher was saying.Something's off about her this morning I don't know what it could be that could be bothering her.Is it me?Did I do something?I shook the thoughts away I looked away and tried to focus on something else.~timeskip to lunch~Me and (y/n) we're walking to lunch,"Let's Wait here for Evan."(y/n) said (y/n) stopped in front of Evans classroom door that was still closed.(Y/N) still seemed off her phone was buzzing all day today,"Hey (y/n) are you okay I just want to make sure."I said she looked at me and smile,"Yeah don't worry about me."she replied
"Why are you lying?"I asked
"I'm not it's just....I'll tell you later."she said while whispering the last part.I pushed her hair behind her ear she slightly smiled at me I gently smiled.We heard the door open I looked behind me and saw Evan with Jared by his side,"Hey guys let's head to lunch."(Y/N) said with a smile on her face.We started heading to our lunch table and we all sat down (y/n) sat next to me and Jared and Evan sat in front of us.I felt (y/n) grab my hand under the table I intwined my fingers with hers.We all started eating our lunch in the middle of lunch I heard (y/n)'s phone go off.I saw her take her phone out I quickly glanced over her shoulder and saw a text.It was an unknown number the text said
What the slut already moving on?
I felt anger rush through my blood.Why would they do this to her I looked back at my lunch that I barely ate.I noticed Jared was staring at me he looked away once I made eye contact,"I'm going to the bathroom be right back."(y/n) said while letting go of my hand and getting up and walked away to the bathrooms.Jared cleared his throat I looked over at him,"I just wanted to say that I know you and (y/n) are dating."he said I nodded,"I guess but we're just taking things slow."I said
"Yeah I think that would be best."Jared said I nodded.
Your p.o.v.
I went inside one of the stalls as I had tears streaming down my face.My phone kept going off I read the texts
Ugh what a slut
Whore
Of  course she can't get enough.
The freak and slut are dating now?Wow what a perfect match.
I hurried up and shut off my phone I tried to stop crying but I ended up sobbing.I was trying to stop sobbing but it didn't work it just got worse,"Hey are you okay?"I heard a voice ask in front of my stall door.I hurried up and dried my tears,"Oh umm yea I'm fine."I answered back
"You don't sound fine want to talk?"the gentle voice asked I opened the stall door.
The girl was dark skinned and had her braided hair in a ponytail,her eyes were brown,and she was wearing black glasses.She had the cutest little outfit on it looked almost like a school uniform outfit,"Oh my gosh are you okay?Do you want some tissues?"She asked I shook my head.
"No I'm fine thank you though."I replied she smiled and nodded
"So what's wrong?"she asked
"Bullies."I answered,"They've ruined my life."
"Yeah their the worst."she replied
"What's your name?"I asked
"Alana.Alana Beck."She said as she placed her hand in front of me to shake.I grabbed her hand and shook it,"(Y/N).(Y/N)(L/N)."I replied while gently smiling.~...~
The day finally ended but the messages didn't I haven't told Jared or Connor.I haven't told anyone but I know Connor wants to know I did tell him that I was going to tell him.I was sitting in my room with Connor sitting beside me,"So are you going to tell me what happened?"Connor asked he wasn't mad he sounded more curious I guess.
"People are just saying stuff about me and you."I say trying not to cry.
"Like what?"He asked
"Well their calling me a slut and a whore and saying such horrible things. I can't take it."I said breaking down sobbing.I felt Connor pull me onto his lap he rocked me back and forth gently.He ran his fingers through my hair I held onto his hoodie and kept crying,"It's going to be okay babe."Connor said gently I kept holding on to him.He placed a kiss on my head,"I feel like things are just going to get worse."I said while sobbing
"Hey,hey don't say that it'll get better."Connor said while placing his hand on my cheek he made me look at him.He wiped the tears off my face gently with his thumb.I started to calm down,"Let's watch a movie or something."Connor said while gently smiling at me.I nodded I got off his lap and went to go choose a movie I picked a movie and placed it inside the DVD player.I walked over back to the bed and laid down Connor laid besides me he wrapped his arms around me.I cuddled into his chest sighing he was so warm he makes me feel safe.I wrapped my arms around him,"I love you Connor."he placed a kiss on my head,"I love you too."he replied while holding me closer.
