Chapter 21

Connor's P.O.V.
I wasn't able to go to school for a while. I was home alone just chilling around the house. Today (y/n) was at school so I couldn't visit her or anything. Which it's pretty lonely in the house. The other day I had to clean out my room because my mom was nervous I'd smoke weed and harm myself. So all my weed and razors are gone. I sighed while laying in bed. Then I remembered my dad was getting off of work early to take me to counseling. I let out another sigh and decided to just sleep.
Your P.O.V.
I was at school bored out of my mind. I was at lunch and was eating lunch with Jared and Evan,"Umm (y/n) Steven is walking over here." Evan said Jared slightly glared in Steven's direction. Then Steven sat next to me,"Hey (y/n)...can I talk to you about something?" He asked I looked at him, my eyebrows furrowed,"Umm sure when do you want to talk about it?" I asked he looked around and seemed to be deep in thought. He finally looked over at me,"Are you finished with lunch?" He asked I nodded,"Yeah I am." I respond I looked over at Jared and Evan,"I'll be right back okay?" I said Jared nodded,"Don't do anything funny." Jared warned Steven, he smiled and nodded,"Don't worry I won't." Steven and I got up, I grabbed my bag and walked out of the cafeteria with Steven. He walked me out into the hallway were all the lockers are,"So what did you want to talk about?" I asked.
"It's about (s/d/n)..I was wondering when I'll be able to see her/him. I mean they are my son/daughter." He said I bit my lip nervously.
"Oh I don't know. I just you know you weren't around for a whole year. They've already gotten comfortable with Connor." I said Steven looked at me a bit hurt,"Look I know she/he's comfortable with Connor. But I do want to be apart of their lives."His eyes were starting to tear up. He took in a deep breath,"Are you still upset about me not being there or something. Do you not want me around (s/d/n)?" He asked upset I shook my head,"No! That's not it all!" I said trying to reassure him,"I just I guess it's just hard for me. How about we make a schedule for you to see her/him?" I asked he nodded,"Sure. That's fine I wouldn't mind." He said he gave me a hug. I returned it and we finally let go,"Thank you for giving me a chance for spending some time with my child. I know I wasn't around. But I also just wanted to say that I don't mind Connor being their father figure. I know he's probably been around a lot more than I have." He said.
"Thank you for understanding but I think it would be best if you were still around." I said he smiled at me before we could say anything else the bell rang,"Well I should head to class. I'll catch you later." He said I smiled and nodded we went our separate ways.
