Chapter 10 | Love of My Life

I stand by the lockers, waiting for my two best friends Isabella Soldati and Abigail Carideo. Since we all have 8th period free, they wanted to come over to hang out before the party later today.

I love my friends, they've been there for me through thick and thin. We met freshman year when we all had similar classes. Almost all of our classes were together and we enjoyed every second of them. Ever since then, we've been best friends.

Isabella really lives up to the name Bella, she gorgeous. She's around the same height as me being about 5'7 ft tall. Her dark brown almost always curled hair goes to the middle of her back. The highlights she got over the summer compliments her hazel eyes and almost olive tan skin.

She can be quite the handful sometimes. Everyone thinks she's mean and a huge gossiper, and while she can be at times, she's also really well mannered and focused on school. She's a total extrovert. Bella's self-confidence is through the roof making people naturally attracted to her. She could have any guy she wants but she's too determined on school and her fashion career for boyfriends; it doesn't bother her though, since 'relationships aren't her forte' as she says.

Abigail is the complete opposite of Isabella while still being exactly the same. She has light blue eyes and long blonde wavy hair that compliments her light skin. You should see her with a tan in the summer, she literally glows. She's Bella's height, making me the shortest in the group.

Abigail is beautiful and she knows it. The good thing about her is that she doesn't put it on blast but she sure does appreciate it. She moved here from Australia freshman year, and nobody really talked to her since she was the new girl but as soon as sophomore year came she was the talk of the school. Everyone knew her for being a gorgeous flirt, and being a bitch. She isn't a bitch but don't get me wrong, she is when she wants to be. Especially for her friends. She's a total party girl and tells it how it is. Abby is always playing the field, never limiting her options. She's just as big of a gossip, always knowing the latest news and is just the right amount of crazy.  But she's also sweet and sincere, really smart, and self-confident.

I couldn't ask for a better pair of friends. I know that no matter what they'll be there for me, to support and cheer me up, so of course not even hell could stop me from doing the same for them.

After about 10 minutes of waiting they finally show up, ready to go. Abagail walks my way a purse on her arm and a giant smile on her face. "Let's get ready to party!"

I laugh at my best friend's excitement, "Lead the way Sharpay."

"I'll take that as a compliment. I loved her."

"Of course you would." Bella laughs.

As soon as you opened the front door you could smell the pasta cooking on the stove before you felt the cold air from the air conditioner hit you. The three of us walk into the house, Abby immediately running up to the chef herself to give her a huge hug.

"Grams! It's so good to see you, it's been forever." She shines her a big smile, not having seen my grandma for even longer than I have.

"We've missed you!" Bella says, engulfing her in another hug

I follow right after Bella, doing the same as the two girls before me then we all sit down at the counter. "You're making pasta?" I ask, already knowing the answer.

She points over to the oven. "We're making baked ziti." She says, knowing it's my favorite dish of hers.

"Grandma, you are the love of my life."
