*Katie's room - laying and watching Netflix*

Grayson's P.O.V

I was laying down on Katie's bed and she was resting her head on my chest. I was fiddling with her hair. I knew that she liked that. She had one leg over me and my hand rested on her thigh. We had the covers over us. We were watching Step sisters. Katie had never seen it before. 

Grayson:" Katie? You still awake?"

Katie:" Yeah. Are you?"

Grayson:" Yeah."

Katie:" Thanks for this."

Grayson:" For what?"

Katie:" The ring. I forgot to say thanks."

Grayson:" I swear you didn't. But it's ok. Thanks for this."

Katie:" For what?"

Grayson:" Being you."

I saw Katie smile. She snuggled up closer to me. I love that we are not arguing anymore. I hated that.

Grayson:" Are you going to Alice's party tomorrow?"

Katie:" Yeah! I'm going with Ethan, Emily and the others."

Grayson:" Do you mind if I tag along?"

Katie:" Be my guest. I think it's time you came and meet them for real."

Grayson:" Yeah! I know we only broke up for summer today but what college are you going to?"

Katie:" The one at our school. Which one you going to?"

Grayson:" L.A.C."

Katie:" What is that?"

Grayson:" Los Angeles College. It's what it's called."

Katie:" Hahaha. Well it's the right place for you."

Grayson:" Oh thanks babe. Really appreciate it."

*Gone past midnight*

Roger's P.O.V

I went to go check on Katie. I walked into the room and Katie was zonked out on her bed. Grayson was lying next to her. I walked over to where Grayson was and gently nudged him awake He rubbed his face and sat up.

Grayson:" Who is that?"

Roger:" It's me Roger. You kind of fell asleep."

Grayson:" Hi Roger. What's the time?"

Roger:" Just passed midnight. Do you wanna lift home?"

Grayson:" Shit! My parents. They are gonna be worried. Thanks for waking me up. No thanks I have my car."

I watched Grayson climb carefully out of the bed trying not to disturb Katie. He grabbed his phone off of the bedside table and left. I turned off Katie's tv and followed Grayson. He was already getting his shoes on by the time I got to the first floor. Once he had done he stood up.

Grayson:" Er thanks again Roger. I'll see you round sometime."

Roger:" Before you go. Tomorrow! Ask your parents if they would like to come for dinner on Sunday."

Grayson:" Sure will. See ya."

Grayson opened the door and left. I watch him run down our two flight of steps. When he got in his car I shut the door. I locked it and headed up to bed myself.

*Next morning - 9:30*

I was in my wardrobe thinking of what I was going to wear for the party tonight. I didn't know what the others was going to wear. I didn't wanna clash with them. Roger walked in. 

Roger:" Morning Katie! You're up early."

Katie:" Yeah. I am trying to figure out what to wear."

Roger:" Well you can do that later. I need to talk to you and Lewis. Ellen has taken Freya out to go shopping. Please would you care to follow?"

Katie:" Okay Roger."

I followed Roger down to the second floor. We walked along the hallway and into a office type area room. Lewis was there sitting on the couch in front of the desk there. I sat down next to Lewis and Roger sat behind the desk.

Roger:" Right! I wanna talk about your dad."

Lewis:" Have they banged him up yet?"

Roger:" No. They cannot do that until they have proper evidence that it was him. And your mother's letter isn't good enough.

Katie:" So he is getting away with it. Surely if he isn't in custody then he will come after us?"

Roger:" Not exactly. I have had a ban put on him. If he comes within a mile of this house from all angles and directions his tracker will go off. It's the best I can do so far."

Lewis:" Wait are the guards coming back?"

Roger:" No. But Sean Dolan says he wants to help to make sure you are all safe. Including his kids. He has had the ban put on his house with your dad as well. He thinks because he is involved with us, that Charlie will go after his family as well."

Katie:" Whose choice was this may I ask?"

Roger:" It's not who it's the law. They don't have hard evidence to arrest your dad. There is nothing we can do except put things in place to stop him hurting you."

Lewis:" Is this all you wanted to talk to us about?"

Roger:" No! I think he will go after you two again. First Katie then Lewis. But he might go for you first Lewis. We never know. But we have to make sure we are on A game."

Katie:" So you want us to help you?"

Roger:" Yes! You two are very advanced in this sort of stuff. You will be able to figure all of this out. So what do you say?"

Lewis:" Yeah sure I'm in Roger. What will we exactly be doing?"

Katie:" Wait! We? No count me out. I wanna get over this and get on with my life. I'm not getting involved. And there is nothing you can do or say to change my mind. I am not getting involved."

Lewis:" What? But Katie it will be like old times. Come on sis."

Katie:" No. I am not getting involved. I wanna enjoy my summer and not be caught up in this. Just because you wanna waste your free time with this shit, doesn't mean I want to."

I got up and walked out. I walked down to the first floor. I walked down the hallway and in to the kitchen. I looked at the big clock. It was 11:00 and I decided to go out. I was already dressed and washed. I slipped my trainers on and checked that I had my phone and keys and left. I called Emily and Norman to see if the wanted to go out.

Emily said no but Norman gladly said yes. When I got into town I met Norman.
