*2 weeks later*

Roger's p.o.v

I was sitting in Katie's hospital room with Sean. He had stayed here over night so I could be home with Lewis and Freya. Sean has helped so much, but Grayson is really struggling.

Roger:" Sean?"

Sean:" Yes Roger?"

Roger:" Do you ever think she will wake up?"

Sean:" I think so! So do the doctors. They would of turned off her life machine if they thought she had no hope."

Roger:" Yea! You're right."

Sean:" Are you going to tell Katie when she gets out?"

Roger:" I don't know. It is quite disturbing."

Sean:" Better sooner than later."

Roger:" I know."

Sean:" I am going to send Grayson and Lewis in."

I nodded and watched Sean leave the room. I leaned closer to Katie and held her hand. I felt tears trickle down my cheeks.

Roger:" Katie? If you can hear me, then I want you to know that...  your mom is alive. She arrived here the day you got stabbed. Lewis knows and so does Freya. Everyone has met her, and thinks she is very nice. Myself and your mom are dating! We've been dating a week now and it would be even better if you just woke up and we could all be a proper family. Please Katie!"

Lewis and Grayson walked in. They had become best friends. They were nearly always together now. This had somehow brought them closer together.

Lewis:" Hey Roger! You okay?"

Roger:" Hello guys! Yes I'm good. I'll leave you two be."

I got up and left.

Lewis' p.o.v

Myself and Gray walked to either side of Katie's bed. He sat down on the edge of the bed and held her hand. I stood on her left. Looking at her body all attached to tubes.

Grayson:" Katie! Please wake up! I need you, I love you."

I looked at Grayson. He was in tears already. I was fighting back my tears. I hated seeing her like this. I looked at Katie. She stirred a bit. It scared Grayson and me. Grayson stood up still holding her hand and I walked closer to her bed.

Lewis:" Katie? Katie can you hear me?"

Katie nodded. I was speechless. I ran out of the room and to the waiting room. Everyone looked at me.

Lewis:" Katie! She is awake!"

I sort of shouted a bit because of the excitement. They all shot up. I ran back to the room where Grayson was with Katie. Everyone followed me and they all stood there in happy tears. I was back in my original place by her side.

Katie:" Gr-gr-Gray?"

Grayson:" Yes baby?"

Katie:" Th-th-th-thanks!"

Grayson:" For what babe?"

Katie:" Brin-bring+bringing me b-b-b-back."

Grayson:" I love you!"

Katie:" I l-l-love y-y-you."

Lewis:" Alright enough of this love up stuff. You'll have time for that when she gets out."

The doctor walked in. He didn't look happy with the crowd but he was happy when he saw Katie with her eyes open.

Doctor:" Wow! I never thought today would be the day. Katie how you feeling?"

Katie:" Shit!"

Doctor:" Brilliant! But I will have to ask you all to leave. Only one person will be allowed to stay."

Grayson:" Lewis can."

Lewis:" What mate? I thought you would want to."

Grayson:" No mate. You. You're the closet to her. You should stay."

I nodded and I watched everyone leave one by one. The doctor took Grayson's place and started checking she was okay all over.

Doctor:" So how long has she been awake?"

Lewis:" About 10 minutes."

Doctor:" Ok! Do you feel achy or pain anywhere Katie?"

Katie:" I feel numb. I can feel my hands but that's it."

Doctor:" That is normal. You will be fine in a bit."

Lewis:" What is that you're giving her?"

Doctor:" Just some simple anastetic."

Lewis:" Why? She is numb. She don't need to get rid of the pain."

Doctor:" I know. It's for when the numbness wears off. Kid I know what I am doing."

Lewis:" Yeah but recent events, I don't trust anyone except from them lot out there. So don't get cocky."

Katie:" Lewis! Shut the fuck up."

I nodded and kept my mouth shut.

*Three days later*

Katie's p.o.v

I was finally being released from the hospital. I was at reception just filling in some paper work. Roger was with me. I finished the paper work and left. I got into the passenger seat and Roger drove home.

We arrived home and I forgot about the amount of stairs we had to climb. I was given tablets for the after pain. We managed to climb the stairs taking us 15 minutes. Roger opened the door and we walked into the family meeting room. Everyone was there.

They stood up as we entered and Freya came up and hugged me ever so gently. I took a single seat by Lewis and Grayson.

Katie:" I know I have been under for a few weeks but seriously don't make this arkward."

Norman:" We are just happy you are back."

Emily:" She was never gone. I'm so sorry. I was pissed at myself when I was told."

Katie:" Girl don't sweat it. We are here now and I'm good."

Ethan:" Thank you! You saved me and my dad. And you took the stab. You are the bravest girl I know. Like just thank you so much."

Katie:" Ethan it's cool. I just reacted in the way that I did. I would it be me than you."

Sean:" No seriously! If he had stabbed me that could of been me done. So I am so grateful. More than you can imagine."

Katie:" Seriously don't sweat it. But what happened why I was blacked out?"

Roger:"  Charlie has finally been arrested. Lewis got off on caution for beating the shit out of him. And Freya joined a dance group."

Freya:" It's so cool. Like they are all so friendly."

Katie:" That's good. But who are you?"

I was looking at a women I hardly recognized.

Lewis:" Look closely Katie! Then you will know."

Katie:" Nope don't see it."

Women:" I wrote that letter you read before this happened."

Katie:" Mom? Is it really you?"

Women:" Yes. It is."
