Today Callie went with me and my lawyer to Ximena's court hearing. Somehow Callie got the video of my sisters speech.

"Well according to this video , Ximena didn't threaten the U.S government like the defendant claims. I give Ximena freedom without being detained until her DACA status is updated."

Once we all get outside I pull Callie aside.

"Callie I just want to say thank you so much for helping Ximena , she's the only thing I have left and I'm so happy that I have a friend like you," I pulled her into a long hug.

"Poppy if you know me than you'll know that I won't stop until the people I love and care about get the justice they need. I'm not done but this should be a good break."

She said as she pulled away from the hug. I smile at her than tell her that we should go share the awesome news with my sister.

_______

"So what happened, please tell me I can leave this church." She turns around to the nice owner "no offense."

"None takin." The sweet lady replies

"Well Mena you are able to leave. Your free until your DACA updates." Callie said.

"Thank you guys so much."

My sister pulls us into a big hug. As we all pull away Ximena turns to Callie.

"Thank you Callie , I honestly don't know where I'll be without you and everything you've done for me."

"I'm always happy to help. Anytime."

I see Callie eyes go down to Mena's lips for a second and she turns to her moms.

I always had a feeling that something was going on between them two. My sister always talks about her and they seem more flirty than usual. I don't care , as long as my sister is out of harms way and is happy than I'm happy.

"Poppy , Callie's moms said that I can stay with them."

"Damn now our room is really going to be packed." I joked.

The next chapters to come are my favorite ones. Stay tuned and thanks for the love this book has received.
