Another Hidden Secret

Chapter 12

It's Mother's Day , Ximena came by to see me before Poppy and her went to see their parents.

"I got you something." She said nervously.

She pulls out a gold-ish box and opens it.
There was a beautiful gold necklace sitting inside. I look up to see her smiling at me.

"Ximena you didn't have to."

"Well I wanted to, are you sure you like it." She asked putting her hand on my
thigh.

"Yes , it's beautiful." I let my fingers run across the necklaces as I thought about how I really love it but probably will never wear it.

I only wear my mom necklace but I definitely couldn't find the heart to tell my girlfriend that.

Before our conversation could get any where Jude walks into my room from the joint bathroom.

"Oh I can come back another time." He offers seeing how deep we were in our conversation.

"No it-"

"Yea I'll meet you in your room." I say , cutting off Ximena. He left the way he came in and I got up to lock that door as well.

"I forgot to lock that door."

"It's fine , I need to go anyways , Poppy and I need to go but I'll see you tonight." I give her a peck on the lips before confirming our plans to go back to the treehouse tonight.

She leaves and I go to Jude's room to see what he wanted.

"Callie I was wondering if you would like to go to moms grave."

I instantly becoming bossy and defensive. It's not that I don't want to go . I just feel like we've all been sad long enough.

"What's the point it's not like she knows we're there or what day it is, let's just try to be there for our moms who do."

After Jude and I spend half of our day with our moms I finally gave in to go to our birth mom grave , we met Jude's dad there and his new girlfriend.

We all are in our rooms , Mariana went to Emma's house and Poppy went with her.

As I'm watching Riverdale , one of my favorite shows , I hear my room door open. I turn around to see Aaron with a white rose.

"Uh hi." I say confused as I stand up "what are you doing here."

He gave me the rose and step closer. "Callie I realized that in our relationship I've said a lot of things that was hurtful and I'm really sorry for that , I never wanted to hurt and I still want you , Callie."

I take a step back and try to think of a way to not break his heart. I guess he noticed  that I was still confused.  He was going to say something before he noticed I had in a different necklace , the one my girlfriend gave me.

"Wow you're not wearing your moms necklace."

I bring my hand to touch the beautiful jewelry.

"Yeah I got it from the person who I'm talking to." I said quickly, hoping he would get the point.

"You're dating someone." He looked hurt and a little mad. "I thought he were going to get back together."

Ximena walked into the room with paint in her hands. She looked up and obviously saw Aaron.

"Oh...hi Aaron."
