Another Hidden Secret

Chapter 16

                            (Little catch up)

It's been three weeks since my graduation and Ximena and I are doing great , sometimes. She has this new friend that obviously likes her and they flirt all the time , even in front of me. I never talked to Ximena about it because I don't want to seem controlling.

"Hey babe."  Ximena says as she walks back in her room. "My friend Marisa is coming if that's okay with you."

"I thought we were supposed to go on a date."

This has been happening for weeks , she's  been blowing off our plans for Marisa.

"We can go later."

"You know what, I don't feel like going anymore or being here."

I try to get off the bed but she pulls me back.

"Wait, why are you leaving."

"Because I don't feel like watching you and Marisa flirt and you just blew off another one of our plans to hang out with her." I said angrily.

"We don't flirt, I'm just being nice."

"Oh so you wouldn't mind if I invite Aaron over all the time even if we have plans."

She rolls her eyes and get off the bed to sit on her beanbag.

"That's not the same, he's your ex."

"So fucking what, that's not the point."

Before either one of us can say anything Marisa walks in the room.

"Am I interrupting something."

"No, we were just talking." Ximena say quickly.

I start to get my stuff together as Ximena talks to Marisa.

"Callie you're not staying." Marisa ask

I shake my head and leave Ximena house. When I get to my car Ximena comes out.

"Callie can you wait."

"Go have fun with Marisa."

"Why do you always have to be so damn stubborn, just talk to me like the adult you're supposed to be."

"I don't really want to see you right now." I get in my car and lock the doors so she can't get in.

"Why are you mad at me , I didn't even do anything."

I roll my eyes and start my car.

"Can you get away I'm trying to drive off."

"What did I do." She ask as she backs away.

I drive off without answering her.
