Y/N's POV

"That's it?" I scoffed, filing down the nail that had a sharp edge from earlier.

"You want more than 527k? You've got to be out of your mind!" He shouted at me and I rolled my eyes, narrowing them after.

"My job, my price. Need I remind you that you guys are the one who wants to get the job done?" I let my nose raise in disgust as the officer came closer.

"Fine, we'll go up by 200k, is that enough?" He spoke through gritted teeth and I sighed.

"727k? How about an even 900k?" I tilted my head to the side as he seethed even further.

"Forget i-"

"How about 875k instead?" Another officer jutted in as he cut the other off.

"His life isn't an item at my garage sale that you can come along and bargain with. 900k or find someone el-"

"Deal."

I smirked, blowing off the excess dust off my nail.

"That's what I thought. And don't dare to cut me off again next time when I'm speaking," I reminded, flashing a quick smile as I turned to leave the station.

Sitting in my car, I flipped through the file of the man they wanted behind bars. Not caring for the details at the moment, I only was looking for a name. I'd look over the information later as I tossed the file onto the seat beside me, starting the car.

"Park Chanyeol."

That much bloody money just for him?

The lengths the police would go to just to get the things they wanted, funny.

Doing illegal work to catch another person who did illegal work themselves.

How ironic.

I chuckled, running my hands over the steering wheel as I turned onto the highway.

I never officially worked with anyone as I was a solo who did their work on their own. Despite that, I was often hired by many to get their work done and I'd agree for a price that'd get their blood boiling.

I always enjoyed it.

Not for the money, I had far too much to ever value its worth or care for more. Just the sight of anger washing over them when I'd increase the price, knowing I held the power.

It's a talent of us as seducers.

Power.

They were unable to refuse because they were desperate to get the work done, going to lengthy limits that would make them uncomfortable.
