Chapter 6

When Betty woke up the next day she was tangled together with jughead while Reggie and Archie were asleep beside her. Slowly, without waking them up she crept out of bed and threw on her bear dressing gown and went into the kitchen to make some coffee. She poured a cup and then went and sat on the floor of the balcony watching the busy New York streets below her. A while later, the three boys emerged from the bedroom to find Betty still on the balcony. "Betts?" Archie called to her, she turned around and flashed them a smile. "What are you doing out here it's freezing?" Reggie asked. "I like it in the morning, it's nice" She replied. "Well come on sunshine up you get, you had the flu a few days ago and we don't want you getting sick again" Jug added; while holding out his hands for her to take and then pulling her up. The four of them went inside and more coffee was made and they made pancakes for breakfast. A few hours later Reggie and Archie went out to run a few errands while Jug and Betty stayed at home. Betty retreated to her room to do some of her assignments while Jug did some writing. After a while Jug made 2 cups of coffee and took one into Betty's room for her. "Hey sunshine" he said after opening her door. "Hey juggie" she smiled at him. "Here" he said handing her the coffee. "Thank you.. this is just what I needed" she said, taking a big sip. Jug got up to leave when she grabbed hold of his arm, and he turned around. "Jug? Why are you so nice to me?" She asked. "what?" He asked shocked while taking a seat next to her on the edge of the bed. "I mean all three of you are nice, you're like my family but since I've moved in you've done little things that the others don't" she whispered. "What do you mean?" He questioned. "Well when we go on the subway you always block the crowds from me, when it's my time of the month you buy me all my favourite foods and when I'm stressed with college work you offer me help and watch movies with me to make sure I'm not too stressed. Why?" She asked. "Because" he started, lifting her chin so she was looking at him. "I think I'm falling in love with you Elizabeth Cooper" he said softly, causing tears to form in her eyes. " juggie I think I'm falling in love with you too" she whispered, the both starting leaning in until their Lips met and there was fireworks. It's like time stopped, when they pulled apart they rested their foreheads together and had massive grins on their faces.
