Bughead story ~ roommates

Chapter 19

"Everyone In the living room for an emergency roommate meeting!" Reggie yelled as he walked through the door. "We're all in the living room" jug smirked from where he was sat on the couch with his arm around Betty while he and Archie play video games. "Okay good. Well listen up" Reggie started. "We're going away on vacation for a few days, we leave tomorrow morning at 8am sharp and we'll take turns driving Archie's truck" he said. "Where are we going?" Betty asked excitedly. "My uncle owns a beach house a few hours away and he said I could take some friends there for a dew days and who better to take than my roommates" he added. "Thanks Reggie" "thanks man" "thank you!" His roommates said. "Okay go and pack!" Reggie grinned and they all went to their bedrooms.

Jughead was the first to finish packing and moved down the hall to his girlfriends room. "You almost done betts?" He asked as he sat on her bed. "Yep" she smiled. He watched her pack for a few moments and then saw the sad look in her eyes when she pulled out her swimsuits. He stood up and went behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "You look beautiful betts. You don't need to worry" he said and kissed her shoulder. She nodded, placed the swimsuits in her case and shut it. She turned in his arms to pull him into a kiss. Their moment was soon interrupted by Reggie bursting into her room. "Hi guys, you don't mind sharing do you? Because there's only three rooms?" He asked with a knowing smirk. "Of course not reg" jug laughed, and Betty grinned. "Great! I'm gonna order a pizza for dinner!" He yelled as he left the couple alone in Betty's room.

The next morning a sleepy Betty was curled up in the back of Archie's truck, cuddled into jugheads side. Archie decided to take the first drive, With Reggie in the passenger seat and Betty and jughead in he back and after a while they would swap. "I need coffee" Betty groaned. "Wow you are not a morning person" Archie joked. "Tell me about it" jughead teased and she hit his chest but he just laughed and pulled her closer to him. "I can't wait to be at the beach! Hey maybe we could all try surfing!" Reggie said excitedly. "I would pay to watch you three try to stand on a board" Betty laughed. "Oh and can you do it? Little miss surfer?" Jug said. "Well I've never tried it but I'm sure I'd be okay at it" she said. "We'll see about that" Jug grinned.

Turns out it was harder than she thought. They arrived at the beach house around lunchtime and after they settled in they went down to the beach. "Remember when she said she would be good at it?" Jughead laughed with Reggie and Archie as they watched Betty struggle to stand on her board. "Shut up" she moaned. "You're doing great babe!" Jug smirked from his Board and gave her an exaggerated thumbs up. "You know what I give up!" She said and swam over to the boys. "Hi there" Jug said when she reached his board. She glared at him and shoved his board until he fell in. "You'll pay for that cooper!" He said, amusement dancing in his eyes. "You have to catch me first!" She yelled and swam away, hitting Archie's and reggies boards in the process causing them to fall in too.  The four roommates splashed around in the water, and having the most fun they've had in a while. "Im so glad we came on this trip" Betty said as jughead pulled her towards him. "Me too. I can't wait for the rest of the week" Jug smiled at her.
