Chapter 3 - Chocolate Thunder?

"A group of youths were discovered hanging from trees this morning in what looks like a mass suicide" Chief Strauss informed struggling to click the remote for the screen, Garcia fidgeting desperately wanting to help.

"So, if it's suicide why are we being invited to investigate?" Morgan questioned, Strauss fussed with the remote and eventually gave up handing it to Garcia who beamed, taking the remote and standing up. She smoothed out her vibrant dress as Strauss stood to the side.

"Glad you asked my Chocolate Thunder!" Garcia smirked at Morgan.  You stifled a laugh at her inappropriate nickname and Strauss frowned at her and you.  Great you'd been here five minutes and already the section chief thought you weren't professional, good going (Y/N)... "Well, Strauss is good friends with Cornel Ron Massy who runs the Somerville Academy" Garcia continued, you looked down at the tablet that Jenifer had slid in front of you, you became absorbed in reading the reports on the device that you hadn't noticed the room had fallen quiet, you looked up after you had finished reading.

"(Y/N)?" Hotchner looked at you and your eyes widened and looked apologetically at him.  He sighed but repeated his question "Do you think it was a suicide?" You thought about everything you had read.

"No... I mean, everything has been made to look like a suicide but what were their reasons for killing themselves?... From what staff have said here..." You gestured to the tablet "They were happy, there was no evidence of harassment, bullying or depression. Also, the note is vague, 'I'm Sorry' five boys are dead and the suicide note is two words"  You frowned and Hotchner nodded.

"Good observations" He stood up "Wheels up in 30..." He and Strauss left the room and you breathed a heavy sigh and looked at Penelope.

"A warning about your inappropriate nicknames would be nice next time... I'm sure I've already lost Strauss' faith in me" You sighed, standing up.

"Trust me sweet pea" She smiled "Strauss has faith in you, otherwise you wouldn't be on this team"

"Double that" Morgan smiled, appearing by your side and resting his hand on your shoulder. You looked up at him and smiled softly. "So, if you want warning, the list of inappropriate things is forever growing!" He chuckled.

"I'll just mentally prepare myself next time you two are conversing..." You breathe a soft laugh

"That's a smart move" Spencer spoke up, smiling briefly before leaving the room, you watched him leave.

"Don't go falling for the genius, he's a hermit..." Morgan smirked at you and you frowned.

"I'm here strictly for business, fraternizing isn't allowed nor will I allow it..." You paused "Plus it's impossible to fall for someone after knowing them for..." You glanced at your watch "35 minutes...15 seconds..." Morgan and Garcia laughed at you, Morgan squeezed you shoulder before releasing you.

"She's just like him!" Garcia giggled "Boy Genius and Girl Wonder! What an adorable pairing!" You sighed softly.

"Let's go and say goodbye to Emily..." You mutter and excuse yourself quickly from the room.
