Nightfighter felt his consciousness come back to him, he put his talon on the side of his head and tried to stand up.

"Night! Are you okay?" he heard, to his surprise, Sapphire’s voice ask. He thought he would hear her voice again as he felt something shake his arm.

Nightfighter opened his eyes, expecting to see the volcanic rock everywhere and Goldennight’s, his grandson’s, dead limp body.

When he opened his eyes, he saw stone bricks put together to make a floor, grass growing between the cracks. He looked up to see the familiar surroundings of the Shadow-Wing palace and their glowing light blue vines.

He looked around him to see his old Jade Mountain winglet to his surprise with his parents and even Princess Void. They all looked so young, and all of them together again was like a dream. He looked down at his talons to see all the wrinkles gone, he felt around his face that never felt so smooth. He was young again, or. . . was he ever old in the first place?

“What happened? Where’s Andlat?” Nightfighter asked.

He saw Forest, the face of a long friend he thought he never see again, tilt his head in confusion. “Uh- who now?” he asked.

“The end of Pyrrhia? The existence of gods?” Nightfighter asked.

“Are you okay, Scrollface?” Snowflake asked. Nightfighter smiled slightly, his mate looked so beautiful in her youth, her attitude the same like always, he missed that. “Was it a vision?”

“No it was. . .” Night began, he paused as he started to feel a strong sense of deja vu. “Darkstalker, he’s free.”

"What?! He's free???" Snow asked in alarm.

“Not only that,” Night said. “He took my prophecy telling, when he did I saw every single future, every single path. The one that was most prominent was the end of Pyrrhia, the one I thought I was living in.”

Everyone did not say a word, his parents looked awfully worried and Void looking very curious.

“Are you sure you didn’t hit your head on a stalactite?” Sahara asked.

“No I’m serious!” Night said. “Because Darkstalker knows about Furusato, it will lead into one timeline. But if one major event changes then it can lead away from that timeline.”

“Okay, you are crazy,” Void said. “Might’ve made a wrong decision on bringing you here.”

Night only now realised he still had his mind reading, he heard the thoughts of the dragons around him, a loud silence.

He thought of something, if he had his mind reading, that would mean. . .

“I can use my animus magic,” Night said.

“No!” everyone yelled.

“Hear me out,” Night said. “If I can make every single dragon in Pyrrhia forget about Furusato, forget that it even exists, I can divert the timeline into a better and safer timeline.”

“And leave Darkstalker loose?” Vulture asked.

“Moon and the others will take care of him, that is the other timeline that would happen. A more peaceful solution,” Night said. He suddenly remembered about forgetting Moon in his vision, how did he forget such important dragons in a prophecy? Unless Darkstalker made everyone forget, Night thought to himself.

“Make a charm first,” Snowflake said, she seemed to be the most worried. She should be, she was Night’s lover, well, in the future that might not happen. He started to have second thoughts about making everyone forget about Furusato, Jade Mountain wouldn’t be as big as it was in his vision, Furusato wouldn’t be able to mingle with Pyrrhia and must stay hidden, the HybridWings would forever stay hidden and never come out to the light, he might not even have a dragonet like Peacebringer, he won’t have the chance to meet Cobra, he might not be able to do any of that. But, he would prevent The Eclipse from ever forming, he would prevent King Sandstorm’s death and would peacefully end the war with Darkstalker without deaths. He decided.

Night rummaged through his bag to find anything he could use to make the charm. “Here,” Void suddenly said, she held out a talon that held a necklace of sorts. It looked like it was made from obsidian. He took it carefully and said; “Enchant this necklace to protect the soul of an animus when using his or her magic, and to never corrupt the dragon with the power of this charm.”

He drapped it over his head and breathed slowly, he remembered the happy and emotional times he had with Peacebringer, the returning to his old cave to make a home for his family, the moment he defeated Darkstalker and the moment he had with Snow. He will remember these times, because the course of history is about to change, forever.

“To make sure Darkstalker forgets about Furusato, he needs to forget about us. So no one can remember we exist, not even our families, well. . . all of yours,” Night said as he glanced over to his parents.

“Better than Darkstalker taking over,” Sapphire said. “It’ll only be until he’s defeated.”

“Make everyone forget me? Ha! A dream come true,” Vulture said sarcastically.

Night looked around at his friends and smiled, the thing he thought he would rarely even do.

“Make Furusato and the Diamond Winglet of Jade Mountain disappear from the minds of all dragons currently on Pyrrhia, prominently in Darkstalker of the Ice and NightWings,” Night said. He didn’t need to have prophecy telling to know that it worked, that his life he thought was real, is now forever gone.

“Now,” Night said, he walked up to Snow, who had a raised brow. “I’ve got a sort of confession to make.”
