Speakers pierced your ears. The familiar sound of Klingon words filled your brain, as you desperately tried to translate. You were extremely out of practice with your Klingon. Before you could blurt out what they were saying, Uhura beat you to it.

"They're ordering us to land."

She gulps.

"Captain, they're gonna wanna know why we're here. And they're gonna torture us. And question us. And they're gonna kill us."

"So we come out shooting." Kirk grumbles.

That seemed to set Uhura off a bit. She unbuckles and stands over James, frowning.

"We're outnumbered, outgunned. There's no way we survive if we attack first."

She took a deep breath, and you frowned. You hoped that they had a plan, because you really didn't want to die. You wished you hadn't been so stubborn in demanding to come.

"You brought me here because I speak Klingon. Then let me speak Klingon." She seethed in determination. Next thing you knew, the ship was landing, and Nyota Uhura was stepping out with a grim expression on her face. Please, let this turn out well.

"This isn't going to work-" Kirk mumbled to Spock a bit loudly, and you frowned.

"It is our only logical option. And if you interrupt her now, you will not only incur the wrath of the Klingons, but that of Lieutenant Uhura as well."

A silence filled the ship as we all waited, the only other female stepping out of the picture momentarily. Uhura began speaking, and you began Translating.

I am here to help you.

"I am here to help you, she says."

The Klingon man began trudging towards Uhura, and Kirk rushed over towards a bag and snatched up four guns inside the ship.

"Lieutenant-" He offered a gun to you, and you nodded, a bit frightened at the formality. He wasn't normally like this.

"Thank you, Captain."

With Respect. There is a criminal hiding in these ruins. He has killed many of our people.

"She's saying : With Respect. There is a criminal hiding in these ruins. He has killed many of our people." You paused to listen to what the Klingon was saying.

Why should I care about a human killing humans?

"The Klingon says: Why should I care about a human killing humans?"

You paused.

Because you care about honor. And this man has none.

"Because you care about honor. And this man has none."

A quiet murmur from the other Lieutenants showed their respect for Uhura. If only people looked at you that way...

You and your people are in danger.

You snapped back into your senses.

"You, uh- You and your people are in danger."

There was a tense silence, and you noticed a malicious glint in the Klingon's eyes. You snapped the safety off of your gun. You yelped as the Klingon gripped Uhura's face, and you tensed up. No, no. This needed to be stopped. He was going to kill her.

Shots rang through the air, and the screams of Klingon were heard. You rushed outside ahead of Kirk, trembling and gripping your gun tightly with a glare in your eye, shooting two Klingon as they approached you. The shots from before... They came from...
