The perfect picture

Chapter 8

It was time for Anthony's and my date. Yes I accepted. I know we just met and all but I feel like I could trust him, which I don't trust many people for different reasons.

I just have trust issues.

It was four in the afternoon. I dressed in a pair of skinny jeans and a heavy duty jacket since it was snowing even more now than earlier.

'Ooh what ya do with that big day butt? Wiggle wiggle wiggle..'

I checked my phone to see a text from Anthony.

'You ready?'

'Yeah' I replied.

I texted him where my cabin was and waited.

He said he would be here 20 minutes ago.. I wonder what happened.

He could be blowing me off right now, or simply be late.

What if he is hurt? I don't want to go through another scare like I did a little bit ago so I turned on my laptop.

Unfortunately I couldn't go on my laptop because Anthony showed up.

Fortunately Anthony showed up.

"Hey what happened?" I asked as he walked me to his car.

"Sorry I just needed to make sure everything was perfect because unfortunately something went wrong and I had to go over there and fix it. Sorry I'm late." he smiled nervously.

"It's okay, I understand." I told him.

I haven't been on a date in awhile, since high school and I'm very nervous.

He opened the door for me and I thanked him while sitting in his car.

"I'm not gonna ask where we are going because I know you are probably Gonna say it's a surprise." I laughed.

"Well you are correct." he told me.

We both chuckled and he turned on the radio.

"I love this song!" I yelled.

I turned up the volume and sang to the lyrics of nothing left to say by imagine dragons.

"Honestly I hate this song." he sighed.

"Oh I'm sorry." I said and lowered the volume.

"No it's okay, I like hearing you sing." he smiled.

I laughed. "Oh no I am a horrid singer."

"I bet you you're not." he chuckled.

"Well Anthony, I guess you lost the bet."

"I think you are wrong." he said.

"Sure whatever you say." I sing-songed.

We finally pulled up to.. the woods.

"Please tell me you aren't an Ax murderer trying to rape and kill me?" I asked.

"No no no it's just I don't usually do a dinner and a movie type of date, they aren't my thing." he said.

"Okay I'm trusting you." I said as I got out of the car.

He pulled me along a path that had candles along the pathway. Of source the candles were in jars, since it was snowing.

We stopped and I looked around.

It was beautiful.

There was a lake in front of us , and the trees above had lights strung up on them.

There was a canopy and a blanket on the ground to keep the snow away from where we sat.

The lake was just starting to freeze over and it was beautiful.

I quickly took out my camera and snapped a picture.

"I hope that didn't ruin the moment." I laughed.

"Nah you're fine." he said.

"You know, if you just wanted to get laid that isn't happening." I joked.

"Oh darn." he safe sarcastically.

This was definitely going to be a fun date!
