The perfect picture

Chapter 9

We sat on the blanket and looked at the view in front if us.

"So what do you think?" he asked.

"I love it." I replied honestly.

This is the best date I have ever been on.

The ones in high school were all dinner and movie types of deals.

"Good." he said.

It was quiet for a little while, but it was peaceful.

"So I brought food." he laughed pointing to the basket.

"Good because I'm starving." I giggled.

He opened the basket and there was a ton of food. It's good I love food though.

"I didn't know what you liked so I just made.... this..." he said.

There were peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, subs, crackers, water, lemonade, watermelon, and more little snacks.

There was also a few pieces of vanilla cake on there.

How could he fit this much in a basket?

"Oh my gosh. You didn't have to do this." I sputtered.

"Well I wanted it to be special."

"Well it is." I told Anthony.

We sat there for a few minutes just joking around about random things.

"Okay okay so which do you like better, skittles or snickers?" I laughed.

"Snickers." he replied seriously.

"I mean the commercials are right. Better? Better." he said mimicking the commercials for snicker bars.

"I like skittles. I mean come on, taste the rainbow." I told him.

We both started cracking up laughing after that.

"I feel like I can talk about anything with you." he told me.

We both looked at each other and smiled.

Suddenly his face turned serious and he started leaning in.

For some reason I started leaning in too.

Our lips were about to touch but I quickly turned my head away so he kissed my cheek.

"Ah ah ah I don't kiss on the first date." I teased shaking my finger back in forth.

"You are cruel." He said while laughing.

That's basically how the rest of the date went; us joking around.

Soon enough he was dropping me off at my cabin.

"I would love to do this again sometime shall we?" he asked.

"Absolutely." I replied.

I walked in and greeted Dakota.

"Tomorrow we will go exploring." I told her.

I made sure her food and water bowl was filled and changed for bed. I sat down on my bed and fell back onto the pillows with a smile on my face.

I soon fell into a peaceful sleep.
