:BEFORE YOU READ: No, the lion that's smiling at him is not young Simba, it's Kamaria and she's a girl. You can see the eyelashes. I made up my own character for this story so yeah, just wanted to clear that up in case of any confusion! Anyway, let the story begin!

Kion ran from home, further and further away, still shooken from his dream. His broad shoulders got weaker with each step he took, and his paws became lighter. He soon collapsed onto the ground in exhaustion, suddenly blacking out.

Kion then woke up, looking at the surroundings around him. He spotted a golden lion cub, about the size of him in the distance, drinking from a watering hole a couple of feet away from him. His eyes adjusted, and he saw the lioness. She had golden slick fur, with chestnut eyes, and was gazing at her reflection in the water.

He pranced straight up, and his ears fell flat.

"Who are you!? And what is this place!?" He said, crouching in a striking position and snarling.

"Relax boy, I'm not gonna kill you!" She said, smiling smugly at him.

"Where am I?" He asked, looking at her with a puzzled expression.

"I don't know... but looks like we're both stuck here." She said, walking up towards him.

"Uh.... how did you get here exactly?" He asked her, his mind was rushing with so many questions that he wanted to know about the young cub, but there was just too much to ask.

"Well, to answer your question, I was chased by hyenas... and I had to run, I was in their territory..." She said, remembering fearfully.

"Hyenas? UGH JANJA!" He said annoyed.

"You know them?" She asked.

"Yeah... they're always causing trouble! I swear I have to chase them off SO many times!" He replied angrily.

"Yeah... I bet, but anyway, what are you doing here?" She asked.

"I- I had a nightmare... and I was scared, so I ran away from my family and friends, and now I'm lost.." He said looking down.

"Oh... I'm sorry." She said.

"Yeah.... no big deal. Anyway, who are you?" He asked her again, still curious.

"I'm Kamaria, and you are?"

"I'm Kion, pleasure to meet you Kamaria." He replied.

"Cool name, so.... I'm assuming you live in the pride lands then huh?" She said.

"I am actually, my dad is Simba." He said.

"I figured as much." She said, examining him.

"How?" He questioned.

"Well, you do have his looks." She smirked.

Kion rolled his eyes, he knew she was trying to flirt with him, but he couldn't help but admit that she was right. He did look very much like his father.

"Oh ha, yeah... I guess I do." He smiled admiring himself, puffing out his chest.

Kamaria gaped in awe, she couldn't help but stare at the prince. "He's pretty cute..." She thought, she did have to admit that he was quite attractive for his age.

"Yeah, I can see you're a bit of a show off." She said smirking.

"Maybe." He replied, smirking.

"So anyways, Kion, I suggest we try to find some shade nearby, it's pretty hot out here." She said.

"Sure, let's go." He said.

It's been three hours since the Guard had told the King and Queen about Kion's disappearance.
