Chapter 18 Friends always care

Kiba's P.O.V

Jumping down out of the trees, i stopped placing my hand on the tree beside me for there in front of me stood who i was searching for: "Rose?.."

She smiled as she slid down the tree trunk: "I knew you would find me."

Stepping over sniffing the air, i frowned: "I know it's not you...where is the real you?"

Rose: "Realized...it was..a shadow clone...this time huh? I'm...not to far from here....I just..thought i'd try...to help you out by...sending a...guide, but it seems...i don't..even have the chakra...to keep that up." She coughed a bit. "Head..north-east for about...4 kilometers. You should find the...entrance...to the cave pretty...easily."

Knelling down: "I'll be right there, just hang tight ok?"

Rose coughed again: "What..do you think..i've been doing?"

I placed a kiss on her forehead: "Stay strong for just a little longer."

Her body disapeared into smoke leaving me alone with akamaru: "Come on boy, were gonna keep that promise no matter what."

Carefully stepping into the cave, i called out: "Rose? You in here?"

The only response i got was a few rough coughs and a very weak "Yes.."

After sniffing the air i raced over to where she had proped herself up against the wall and quickly got the cuffs of her before letting her lean into me.

Rose's voice was quiet: "Ki..ba..." I had to lean closer to hear her, but her raised her hand, her pinky extended. With a small smile i hooked my own pinky around hers. "Thank..you.."

Rose's P.O.V

 Kiba gently got his arms around me lifting me off the ground and into his chest: "I told you not to worry remember. I'll always be there for you when you need me."

He carried me  following akamaru out of the cave. Akamaru was leading us back to the village when he whined.

Kiba sniffed the air and frowned: "You've got to be kidding me, not now."

We came skidding to a stop as tsume and hana came into view, there feet also skidding across the dirt. I tried to smile at his sister, though it probably looked like nothing more than a grimace.

Tsume: "Just what do you think you're doing brat! Leaving the village like that without permission!"

Kiba surprised me by yelling back: "I was saving Rose! I don't need anyone's permission for that!

Tsume: "You're gonna be in all sorts of trouble when you get back young man!"

I could have sworn Kiba was fighting off a smirk: "I don't care about that! I'll take anything you or the Hokage's got! No matter what you do to me, i'd still have left for her in a heartbeat! Now get out of my way!"

Hana slightly smiled while Tsume looked somewhat shocked as Kiba jumped past them.

Kakashi's P.O.V *A few days later*

Glancing over my book: "I know you're awake."

Rose opened her eyes and sighed: "How much longer do i have to be in here? This is so boring. There's nothing to do."

Fliping the page: "Well you could read a book you know."

Rose: "I'm not into 'THOSE' kind of things kakashi."

: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Rose sat up: "You know exactly what i ment by that."

I snaped the book shut putting it back in it's pocket: "You were put in here because of the wound on your stomach and chakra deficiency."

Rose waved her arms in the air as she flopped back down on her bed: "I know that, but do i seriously have to be in her this long? My chakra level is back to normal and my stomach is fine. I mean as long as i don't overly strain myself."

: "Now see that's why you're still in here. You just answered your own question."

Rose turned her head to glare at me, but her mood quickly changed when a certain knuckle-head came in with Kiba right behind him.

Naruto: "Hey Rose, Guess what!"

Rose pushed herself up to a sitting postion again: "If that's what i think it is..."

Kiba held up a take out box from BBQ: "It is."

A grin spread across her face, her hands reaching out for the box: "Kami I love you guys!"
