F. Jesse and Lukas only glared at Nick, who just followed them into the restaurant. What did he want?

"What is it Nick?" asked Lukas.

"There's something we need to tell you..." said Nick.

"'We'?" asked F. Jesse.

The door opened again, and Ashlie entered the restaurant. She nervously stood behind Nick when she saw that F. Jesse and Lukas had pulled out their weapons.

"W-we don't want any trouble! Really! Neither of us are the killer, but we noticed something that might be helpful!" said Ashlie nervously.

Lukas and F. Jesse only gave each other a quick glance at the other. They faced Nick and Ashlie again, but they still had their weapons out.

"Neither of us are the killer! Honestly!" said Ashlie "We would never kill Tommy, and Sean, he was such a nice guy. I actually got along with him earlier before he... you know..."

"Really. We want to tell you something. I was nervous about bringing it up in front of the other guests, and we talked about this after we went off on our own for our safety. We figured it might help you with the case..." said Nick.

"Okay... so what is it?" asked Lukas.

Ashlie's hands trembled as she pulled out some stuff from her inventory. Lukas and F. Jesse were confused for a minute, but then they realized that Ashlie was pulling out the items that were from Tommy's inventory. They remembered that M. Jesse gave Tommy's inventory to Nick and Ashlie.

"We noticed it after we got Tommy's inventory back, but... something's missing from his inventory..." said Ashlie.

"What do you mean?" asked F. Jesse.

"Tommy had this book with him. A book on some funny memes, because he's the kind of guy who loved to reference them. But... we didn't notice this after he died, but after you guys gave us back his stuff. Whoever killed him, took the book he had with him..." said Ashlie.

"Tommy loved means, and we saw him bring it with us before we went to dinner. But his inventory didn't have it anymore after he died. We didn't notice before hand because we were freaking out with how he was murdered right in front of us," said Nick.

"Are you sure neither of you have the book?" asked Olivia.

"He never let us take it and look at it, and we triple checked our inventories after we got his stuff and realized it was gone. Whoever murdered him must've grabbed it before they booked it..." said Nick.

Lukas and F. Jesse were quiet, taking in Nick and Ashlie's words. Were they serious when they spoke of something being stolen from their dead friend?

"Look, we don't really know you both that much, nor do we know your friends, but you seem to know what you're doing, and you're trying to find the killer for everyone's safety, not just your own. We trust you and we believe you'll do the right thing in the end," said Nick.

"Please find the killer. We're both very scared and just want to go home, but we also want whoever killed our friend to be arrested for what they've done..." said Ashlie.

"We're going to figure this out. We're not leaving until we solve this case. Thank you for the information you've provided with us," said F. Jesse.

Nick and Ashlie nodded their heads. They quickly left the restaurant and headed back to the library to barricade themselves into somewhere safer and away from all the other suspects.

"I wonder if what they told us could be helpful..." said F. Jesse.

She let out a sigh.

"We came here to take a weekend off, and we get wrapped up in something else. We better solve this case before more people die... what kind of heroes would we be if we failed to catch the murderer?" she said sadly.
