Chapter 13

The Jesse twins ran through the hallways of the basement as quickly as they could. They had no time to waste. Lukas and Olivia were depending on them, and they had to save their friends from Lawrence.

"Dang it! I can't remember where I came from!" said M. Jesse.

"How could you not remember?!" said F. Jesse.

The twins looked around, and F. Jesse spotted something on the floor. She rushed over to it and picked it up.

"Lukas's journal..." she whispered tearfully.

"Are we... too late?" said M. Jesse.

F. Jesse didn't answer him. She started to cry.

"Come on man! Can't we talk this over?! We're all adults here!" they heard a voice shout.

"Olivia!" said M. Jesse, almost in a whisper.

They quickly ran down the hallway, running to where the shouting was coming from. M. Jesse spotted the door to the room where he found the room with the pillars.

"No! No! Leave him alone! Please leave him alone!" they heard Olivia's voice cry out.

F. Jesse kicked down the door. The door burst opened, and they saw Lawrence just a few steps away from Lukas. He raised his axe, ready to strike Lukas down.

F. Jesse pulled out her bow and readied an arrow.

"LUKAS!" she shouted.

She fired the arrow. The arrow buzzed up and hit the axe, causing Lawrence to drop it. He shouted in panic and even jumped away from Lukas. M. Jesse rushed over and pushed Lawrence away from Lukas. He got in the way and stood as a shield to protect Lukas, while F. Jesse ran over and stood in the way to protect Olivia.

"Guys, thank notch!" said Olivia.

Lawrence shouted in frustration as he got up.

"No! No! NO! I cannot have any more interruptions! The gods WILL be appeased! They will cure me of this so called madness you all think I have!" he shouted.

"Are you listening to yourself?! You're crazy!" said M. Jesse.

"Lawrence, please stand down! It's over. The police are on their way to arrest you. We told everyone that you're the killer. They know that you killed Tommy, Sean, Carrie, Bert, and Maxine. The damage is done, but... you have to stand down. You do that, then they might go easy on you," said F. Jesse.

She spoke calmly as she talked. She even put her bow away.

"You can't help me. Only the gods can!" said Lawrence.

"We know you're sick. We know you need help. Please, stand down. If you stand down now, then the police might go easy on you. You can get help regarding your mental health. Please stand down," said F. Jesse.

"No..." said Lawrence, bitterly.

F. Jesse slowly approached Lawrence.

"Lawrence, it'll be okay. Just stop this now. It's escalated so high, but you can stop it from getting worse for yourself if you just end this crazy ritual with no more murders," she said.

"No," said Lawrence.

"Sis..." said M. Jesse. He watched nervously as he saw his sister start to approach Lawrence.

"Lawrence, it's okay. I'm the leader of the new order, and it's my job to help others. And I can help you. I can help you stop this craziness now and get you the help you need. You can get help from a psychologist and they can help you regarding your issues," said F. Jesse.
