Chapter 12

M. Jesse rushed through the hallways of the basement and tried to find his way back upstairs. But he hadn't been to the lodge's basement before, and there were so many twists and turns in the hallways.

"Crap! I NEED to get to my friends!" he scolded himself.

He heard the sound of the clock stop chiming, and the lights went off in the basement.

"No!" he muttered, as he pulled out his torch.

He kept on running, and he finally found some staircases that led up. He rushed up, and when he found himself back on the first floor of the lodge, he heard some screams coming from a hallway.

"Guys!?" he called out.

He ran down the hallways, trying to get to where the screams came from.

"Guys, I'm coming!" he shouted, and he continued to run.

When he finally got to where he heard the screaming, he saw Nathan and Amanda hiding behind cover. One of the closet doors had been broken down.

"Nathan! Amanda! Where's Olivia?!" he asked them.

"Lawrence broke out! He attacked Olivia and ran down the hallways! What the hell is going on here?!" cried Nathan.

"It's him! It's Lawrence!" cried Amanda.

"Olivia!" cried M. Jesse.

He ran down the hallways again, and he heard more commotion coming from another part of the lodge. It was coming from where the library was.

"Oh no! Lukas!" cried M. Jesse.

He made it to the library, and as he did, the lights turned on.

Lying on the floor was Maxine, but she was brutally beaten badly. She wasn't conscious. Not one bit. Before M. Jesse could say anything, or even take one step forward to her, Maxine despawned and was reduced to her inventory. M. Jesse looked around, and there was no sign of Lukas anywhere.

"No! NO!" cried M. Jesse.

"Bro!" cried a voice.

F. Jesse came running over. Nick, Ashlie, and Tara followed her, and they all gasped when they saw that Maxine was dead and Lukas was missing.

"Lukas?" whispered F. Jesse. She looked like she might cry.

"He's alive! He's alive! Lawrence took him! And Olivia!" cried M. Jesse.

He looked distraught as he shouted. Tears were reforming in his eyes.

"Lawrence is the killer! He's doing all this because he's insane, and he thinks that these 'sacrifices' will cure him of his madness! And he killed Maxine! He took Lukas and Olivia, but they're alive! They're alive sis!" he shouted.

"Bro, I believe you! They're alive! But you have to calm down or else they won't be for long!" she told her brother.

M. Jesse was shaking a bit, but his sister rushed over to him and put her hands on his shoulders. Her brother looked up at her, and the twins looked at each other tearing up.

"We're going to save them, bro! We will!" she told him.

"What's going on? Did another murder take place?!" cried a voice.

The manager came rushing over, and he was accompanied by Nathan, Amanda, and Peri.

"Lawrence is the killer! He just killed Maxine, and he took Olivia and Lukas hostage!" said M. Jesse.

"That clod is the killer?!" cried Peri.

"Notch! We've been close to a murderer the whole freaking time?!" said Nathan.
