F. Jesse scratched her chin as she looked over the suspects to interrogate. Nathan, Amanda, Maxine, Sean, Carrie, Bert, or Lawrence. Tommy had been murdered, so while her brother and Olivia interrogated Nick and Ashlie, Tommy's friends, it was up to F. Jesse and Lukas to interrogate the other suspects.
"Alright Lukas. I've made up my mind. Let's talk to Tara first," she told the blonde.
The blonde nodded his head. He turned to face the suspects and said, "Tara, would you please come with us? We just want to talk."
Tara softly nodded her head. She followed F. Jesse and Lukas into another room, while the lodge manager stayed with the other suspects to keep an eye on them.
F. Jesse, Lukas, and Tara stepped into the library. Now that they had some privacy, it was time to get to work on talking to Tara and seeing if she was suspicious.
"Alright Tara. We just want to know: what was your opinion on Tommy?" asked F. Jesse.
"Tommy? I didn't hate him, if you're trying to interpret that. In fact, we got into a conversation earlier. I found him quite funny actually, and I know how it feels. I often try to use a sense of humor to cheer up my friends, especially since we've been through a lot. I know he could be a bit of a troll, but I wouldn't wish he was dead. He wasn't a mean guy," said Tara.
"Okay... how are you with potions?" asked F. Jesse.
"Potions? Oh, it's not my specialty. My girlfriend Denise knows a couple basic potions, but not a whole lot because she's not that kind of doctor. I never learned potions though. I'm more of the warrior type because I know how to defend myself," said Tara.
"Alright. How's your redstone knowledge?" asked F. Jesse.
"Redstone? Oh, you mean building stuff. Again, not my specialty. A former friend of mine though, Eugene, he did know some sciencey stuff, but I don't remember if he ever mentioned redstone. Sorry, but like I said, not my specialty," said Tara.
"You don't even know basic redstone stuff?" said F. Jesse.
"No, not unless you count mining redstone and selling it," said Tara.
"Alright. Okay Tara, I just have one more question for you: do you have a religion? Or do you believe in gods or anything like that?" asked F. Jesse.
"I don't know if I can find myself religiously affiliated. With some of the horrible stuff I've seen out there, I can't bring myself to believe in a single god. But I do respect if someone is. A friend of mine, Morgan, he's religious, especially since he says, 'All life's precious'," said Tara.
"Okay Tara. Thank you for your time. You may go now," said F. Jesse.
Tara nodded her head and thanked F. Jesse and Lukas. She exited the library without saying another word.
"Who do you want to interrogate next?" Lukas asked his girlfriend.
"Hmm... can you please bring Peri?" said F. Jesse.
Lukas nodded his head and left the library. A few minutes, he brought Peri in with him. Peri looked a little nervous.
"J-Jesse! It wasn't me! I swear! What can I say to convince you that I'm not a murderer!?" she said.
"Please calm down, Peri. I'm not accusing you. Everyone's being asked questions, okay?" said F. Jesse.
"Okay... okay," said Peri. She took a few deep breaths to calm down. "I've never gone through this kind of thing. My roommate Lazuli doesn't know and not even my best friend Steven has explained how these things work out..."
