M. Jesse entered the tunnel that he found in the bedroom. He didn't have to walk down much, because he reached a dead end. But there was a ladder, which meant it would continue to go.
"Why do I feel like I'm going into a place where I'm really not supposed to be at?" M. Jesse whispered to himself.
He started to climb down the ladder. Since it was still dark, he didn't put his torch back in his inventory. It was difficult to climb down while holding onto something in his hands, but M. Jesse felt safer with a light source, in case the killer came down to get him.
M. Jesse climbed for a bit, and he found his way to the floor below him. It was even darker than before. And written on the walls was the same message again.
"Jeez..." he whispered.
He slowly started to walk head. As he did, he could hear his footsteps echo. The walls of this tunnel were made of stone, not wood blocks, compared to upstairs and in the lodge. That could've been a hint that the tunnel led to below the lodge, or was hidden somewhere in the basement, which the group hadn't inspected yet.
"If I'm in the basement, then jeez... I'm in some horror movie..." said M. Jesse.
He walked a bit more, until he reached a room. There wasn't much, but it looked like an abandoned storage room.
"This really must be the basement..." said M. Jesse.
He spotted something on a table that was hear him. The table was covered with a thing blanket of dust, but the object M. Jesse spotted didn't have even a tiny speck of dust.
"Why are you clean?" he whispered.
M. Jesse walked up to it and inspected it. It was a file with a doctor's name on it.
"Medical records?" asked M. Jesse.
He put his torch down on the table. M. Jesse thought he heard something, so he quickly looked back behind him. There wasn't anyone in sight. Although he was alone, M. Jesse turned around to make sure that he didn't have his back turned towards the way he came from. He opened up the files and began to read them.
"Wait... these are files for a psychologist. The kind of doctor who helps you if you have behavioral issues, or... a mental illness..." said M. Jesse.
He flipped through some of the files, skimming through more.
"'Talking to themselves.' 'Hinted to be seeing things.' 'Saying strange things to others.' Wow... if they really are the murderer, it's no wonder why they have that creepy message. They're sick," said M. Jesse.
He went to the last page of the file.
"Huh... you refused medication, counseling, and even taking a break from your work... No wonder you're this sick... but... why the murders?" said M. Jesse.
He looked up, making sure he was alone. With no one in sight, he put the file in his inventory. It was evidence, so he had to take it with him.
Picking up his torch again, M. Jesse ventured further into the tunnels. He spotted another door and decided to keep moving forward.
The tunnel was even darker than before, and there were even some cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. M. Jesse felt a chill run down his spine. He drew out his sword, arming himself to be prepared, and to feel safer about venturing in the area.
Soon, he reached another room, but this one was larger than the previous one. And it looked newer, like it was set up recently, compared to the previous room. The room was large, but strangely, there wasn't much of a set up. However, there were six pedestals set up in the room.
