Dan's POV

Shit, as soon as the kids popped out from around the corner I knew there was no getting out of this with a smile and some cookies. Isabella's voice was shaking, I knew she was attempting to hold it all together for Dil, she was doing everything she could to try to stop herself from exploding at us like we were insane. She wasn't happy with us I'll tell you that, but she understood our reasoning, so that helped a little. She let go of Dil as Phil and I knelt down, Phil taking Isabella's hand and Dil taking mine. "Daddy?" His voice filled with confusion and his eyes filled with worry, "What's going on? Where are we going?" His glanced moved towards the window, "Are all the bad things over?" I wanted more than anything to tell him it was all over, that he was going to be able to go outside and play but I couldn't bring myself to lie to him again.

His glance quickly left the window once Isabella placed her free a=hand on his shoulder, I sighed and prepared myself for tears. "Dil, baby see...Dad and I don't think it's safe for you and Isabella to stay at the flat at the moment so," I turned to Phil trying not to cry myself but he nodded, "we wanted to know o you want to go to grandma and Grandpa Lester's house? Or Grandma and Grandpa Howell's house for a while?" My heart was breaking at the thought of having of send them away.

He turned to Isabella and then turned back towards me, "Grandma and Grandpa Lester!" He smiled as I nodded,

"Alright then go get your things together" the two of them disappeared into their rooms as Phil quickly picked up his phone to call Martyn.

*Three Hours Later*

"Martyn's parked outside right now," Phil stuttered as he brought Dil's suitcase and toy bag down the hall, I smiled and nodded. We threw the bags into the trunk of Martyn's car and prepared for our goodbyes. I pulled Isabella into a deep hug and kissed her head as she started to cry, "Shh...It's going to be okay. We'll be fine don't worry about us, just take care of your brother and your grandparents."

When we pulled apart she smiled and nodded while I wiped away her tears, "Call every night, okay?" I smiled back and nodded in agreement as she turned to hug Phil.

I knelt down and scooped Dil up in my arms, "You're not coming with us, Daddy?" I want to, I wanted more than anything for Phil and I to be getting into the car with them but we couldn't.

"Well, Grandma and Grandpa Lester miss you so Dad and I decided you two should pop down there for a little visit" I faked a smile, as he nodded and giggled. I hugged him and turned around handing him to Phil.  My heart was dropping, this was torture, Phil and I pulled Martyn into a hug repeatedly thanking him. He smiled back at us saying that it was 'no big deal' but it was to us. Martyn got in the driver's seat and started the car, we shut the trunk and stepped back onto the pavement. Phil grabbed my hand and squeezed it as they drove off, I was constantly holding back the urge to run after them, my hand squeezed Phil's as the car went out of view.

"Dan," Phil started but I quickly cut him off by turning around and burying my head into the crook of his shoulder, his hand held my body close. "Shh...We'll be okay..."

I pulled away, teary eyes just staring into his, "How do you know Phil?"

He sighed as his eyes left and then looked back into mine, "I don't but I believe"
