I crawled about of bed the next morning and checked my phone. There was a voicemail. I again... didn't know the number. As I played the voicemail, the voice became more familiar. All the voice said was a few groans and then click! I saved it this time, in case I needed it later.

I was home alone in the mornings now because my mom left for work early. I went downstairs and began making breakfast, which was only a pop tart. My phone went off so I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Carly, where's Taylor?!" It was that same mysterious voice that had been calling me that last few days.
"Who is this?" I asked scared.
"You know who this is. Now, why don't you just tell me where she is!?" I got scared and hung up.

I ignored it for a while, for as long as I could actually. Then I got scared. I was home alone all day and I was paranoid. I dialed Jesse's number.
"Hey Jesse," I asked knowing he could probably make it over today.
"Yea baby, you sound worried everything okay?"
"Uh, something happened this morning, and I don't want to be home alone all day?" I said.
"Alright listen I'll be over in a half hour to get you. The guys and I are out working in the shop." I agreed and hung up.

I made my breakfast and took a shower. I had to go with Jesse and work on trucks, but it beats sitting here with some creep who keeps calling me. I threw on a pair of jean shorts and my sports bra and an old, pink, cut off softball shirt.

Jesse pulled up in his truck with two other guys. Jesse and both the other guys got out. Since my mother wasn't home, and Jesse knew that, they all just three walked right in. I was up in my room sitting on my bed waiting for them to come. I herd something on the stairs but it sounded like nothing. Then my bedroom door flung open and whoever opened it jump on my bed. I screamed! I got a little scared at first because I didn't know who it was.
"Why are you screaming?" Jesse asked laughing and laying across my legs.
"I don't know!" I laughed back. Then I grabbed a pillow and hit him in the face with it.
"Don't scare me ever again!" I laughed.
"Oh! Now your gonna get it!" Jesse yelled! He stood up and picked me up. He threw me over his shoulders like a sack of potatoes.
"Jesse! Jesse! Put me down!" I laughed. He then put me down and stood there holding me in arms.
"I'm not letting go." I wiggled and squirmed but couldn't slip free. I stood up on my tippy toes so that my lips could reach his.
"I love you." I said. I smiled after the kiss. He let go.
"C'mon the boys are downstairs waiting for us." Jesse grasped my hand and followed him down the hall. The two boys that were standing with Jesse just waited by the door. I recognized them, probably from when Jesse took me mudding.
"Carls, you remember Cole and Wyatt right?" I nodded.
"Alright well let's go." Cole and Wyatt headed out the door. I didn't grab anything but my phone. I slipped it into my bra and followed the boys out the door.

When we got up to Jesse's truck I climbed in the middle seat and Jesse drove. Cole sat next to me in the passenger and Wyatt in the back.
"Why couldn't she have sat in the back, she's littler then I am!" Wyatt complained.
"She's more important, she gets to ride shotgun no matter who's in this truck." Jesse said taking my hand. I smiled knowing that Jesse cared that much. Where I come from where you sit in a guys truck, can tell a lot about how much you mean to him. True fact. You sit in the front it's like being his princess, he lets you drive. Your the queen.

We pull into Jesse's dad's house, right in front of the big garage. All of us went in. I jumped up and sat right on top of Jesse's big work bench.
"What do you think your doing?!" Jesse smiled, he acted like he was mad.
"Watching you." I smiled back.
"What makes you think I want you watching me work on old pick ups?"
I thought about it.
"I don't know but it beats sitting at home, alone, getting creepy calls from strangers." Jesse paused, then he looked really concerned.
"What creepy calls? From who?" he came over and put his hand on my knees.
"I don't know from who, but he asked where Taylor was." I shook my head and lowered it.
"Is that why you didn't want to be home today." I nodded, and Jesse hugged me.
"Alright were gonna get working on this truck, it'll be okay baby." He spoke softly as he kissed me on the forehead.

When I looked over Cole was standing in the door door smiling at what had just happened with Jesse and I. He laughed a little then opened the hood and began working. Jesse was underneath the truck when my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and saw the restricted number. When I looked up Jesse was standing there wiping his hands ready to talk to whoever was on the end.

Jesse clicked the button.
"Hello?" Then he waited.
"Listen I don't know who you are, or why your calling, but it needs to stop! We don't know where Taylor is and were not telling you! So stop calling here!" he hung the phone up and handed it back to me. He smiled. He then brought his greasy hands to my face and kissed me. I had grease all over my face.
"There now you look even cuter!" he teased going back underneath the truck.

Maybe hanging out in the shop with the boys wasn't so bad and I hoped that Jesse took care of the freaky phone calls. I had a good time, and Jesse looked really hot when he worked on the truck. I smiled too when I knew that his friends had accepted me.
