OK so.....this is actually not the first chapter this is the second, if you are reading this story, the Prologue comes first so skip there and come back, because it will be kinda confusing! Wattpad can be stupid sometimes. :/ ~Hail and Nat
Persephone's P.O.V
I watched Hades examine the poison with the Fates close by. "Hades is this really necessary?" I asked him. "Yes dearest, the poison will be their downfall, I'm so sorry." Hades whispered in my ear, I hadn't realized he had gotten so close to me. A shudder went up my spine. "Persephone I only have you for a few more days, could you talk to your mother and tell her to see if she can come down to the Underworld with you; and have dinner?" I thought about it, and realized what he meant. "That's like kidnapping her, you wouldn't!" I said nervously. "You want her safe, don't you?" Hades replied coolly. "Lord Hades, we could just kill her. Finally just get her out of your hair.Too much cereal." One of the Fates hissed. I looked at her in horror. And of course thats the moment my dear mother enters the room "TIME FOR SOME CEREAL!!!!!!!" she shouts, then skipped straight to my side, and without delay gave me an....almost toothless grin. The Fates all hissed and then took a shuffled step backwards.
It was Hades who then took control of the conversation. "Has the first experiment been successful?" He questioned. The last Fate replied "Yes the procedure seems to have been done correctly, all we need now is to try it out." at these last words she seemed to glance at my mother, I shook my head and cleared the thought. She wouldn't dare. "We will finish discussing the details on a later date, we have been.....disrupted" The middle Fate continued, and in unison they turned and walked away. Then Hades turned to me. "I will see you tonight for supper see you then." and he too walked away.
And I was left alone, alone with my mother clinging to my arm still smiling and a room full of dead people.
