Pesephone's P.O.V
I was furious at Hades, pretending absolutely nothing was wrong while a poison that could kill gods sat in his castle potentially unguarded. And here he was eating supper. I was glad the table was uncommonly long with us at the two ends. Hades set his fork down. "Darling you must stop scowling it ruins your face, and it will make a bad impression on our guests. Eat something." "You take me as a fool Hades I will not eat while in your kingdom, -wait did you say guests?"
"Yes I did-oh and it looks like their here" Hades said standing. "Welcome friends" I don't know why I get my hopes up when he sad guests they are never people just ghosts and skeletons. But these were different the aura around them were powerfully ancient.
"Sit, Sit" Hades said politely, even though he knew better than anybody else that ghosts didn't "sit." They just hovered there dumbly staring, Hades continued, "I have been told you two know about the ancient poison is this true?" "Hades you mustn't." I said abruptly standing I knew what he was going to do. Hades sighed, "My dear it's for the good of Olympus the prophecy clearly says-" "All the prophecies we've ever had, have mixed meanings, and what if it gets in the wrong hands!" I shouted back. "ENOUGH" Hades yelled, "you will be silent!" I sat down in my chair and scowled with all my might, he was making a grave mistake. a mistake some may have to pay with their lives.
Hades returned his attention back to our guests, who had looks of horror painted to their faces. Hades didn't seem to notice as he said "Do you have any vital information for us to know?" The ghosts froze and all the first one could say was: "bad, bad, bad, bad, no, no ,no ,no!" So Hades sent him away and turned his attention to the other one who was blubbering- "musn't, musn't, musn't, bad, bad, bad, KILL, KILL, KILL, KILL!" Hades liked this one more or so he sent for the poison. "Is this made right? Does it work?" Hades questioned, presenting the liquid.
The ghosts face turned even whiter, like it had looked Tartarus in the face, but scarred forever, then the screaming started. The worst sound I've never heard pure agony. "NOOO!" It screamed over and over again in a rasping vioce, and in the end it sank into the floor still screaming. The noise slowly faded away.
"I think that went rather well" Hades said smiling "and we made it succesfully."
I stormed out of the room, but as I left a laugh rang out. A laugh from the deepest pit of Tartarus, making me want to give up all hope and to break down. Like there was no reason to keep fighting. And that moment I realized that by creating the poison we had awoken something much more powerful than we'd ever faced before, And nothing could prepare us for the road ahead.
