Persephone's P.O.V

I was doing a very unlady like thing, eavesdropping. This is soooo unlike me, looking down I almost gagged, instead of my flowered dresses with greens blues and bright red's I was wearing black. Which was pointless anyways Hades' palace was dark and gloomy and the torches only protruded a faint glow. The dark wasn't the only reason though, no one even looked at me, that is if you count skeletons and lost souls people still. The only one that I could have a conversation with was Hades but he was always busy now with planning something, well I refuse to be in the dark I'm taking action.

I slowly made my way down the corridor, taking each step with care. Sadness coursed through me at the lonely hallways and gloomy corners of the palace, this place refused to let any happiness into it. I tried to plant flowers but they shriveled up instantly, My memory flashed to mother it was worse for her though, she couldn't control her power anymore so wherever she went corn, wheat, and rye popped up behind her, and not far behind that always were skelton's beating the crops back down. But never fast enough.

I made it to the archway that entered the meeting room, even though it was merely a room that had stairs leading to a lower part of the room. Lucky for me this had a balcony off the the side, filled with forgotten metal chairs.

Peeking around the corner, hearing faint voices I was curious. The stairs decended to shallow to see the attending people, but my guess was him and the Fates. He seemed to be a huge fan of them recently, and I couldn't help but feel like they were planning something, something big.

My breath was coming faster now, what would happen if he saw me? would he be mad? what if, what if, what if? I calmed myself down, no use worrying. I peered around the corner again, it looked fine i counted to three in my head one-two-three. As quickly as I could I ran through the arch and dove onto the balcony, though in my haste I forgot about the chairs, and I felt my foot hit a chair with a seemingly much too loud CLANG! My stomach lurched, and I froze. Now that I was in the room I could hear every word spoken cleary, somewhere down below I heard a Fate hiss. "What was that!!!!" "Do not worry Fate, It is probably just one of the skeletons dropping their sword. It happens all the time." Hades assured her.

"Well it better be, Our necks are on the line if Zeus finds out!" Another Fate hissed. Alarm bells were going off in my head, I scooted towards the edge of the balcony so I could see the conversation as well as hear it. Hades waved his hand ending that coversation "back to the plan" Hades prompted. And the Fates all made shrieking and hissing noises, I suspected it to be a laugh. "Yes, yes, yes!!!!!" The first Fate shrieked in delight. Hades reveiled the poison, "This will be Zeus' undoing, we will slip it too him in either his drink or his food. And three minutes afterwards... Zeus will be no more" Hades laughed histerically then formally said "And I will take my rightful throne."

While Hades was relishing his moment of victory, The Fates were all bickering on who got to hold the eye to look at the poison. "It is mine you fools!" The middle Fate hissed, holding it above their heads. "No it is mine!" Shrieked the third Fate jumping for the eye, while the first said "Then I get the tooth!" "I WANT THE EYE!!!" By now Hades had put vial of poison back into his pocket and was dismissing them. "I shall see you again tomorrow." Realizing they had to walk past the balcony to get out of the room, I hurriedly pulled back my head from the edge, too quickly. Hades caught the movement. "Who's there?" My heart raced, I didn't bother to answer him, he would figure it out eventually, but if he caught me here I would be dead metaphorically of course.

The room had gone silent, and without even a second glance I ran out of the room. My head spinning as I ran through the hallways not knowing where I was going, just away from Hades and his wretched plan. I knew before I did anything rash I had to have a clear head. I tried to focus on calming down, but it was nearly impossible. They were going to kill Zeus.
