Hera's P.O.V
Raging my way across Olympus I was marching towards the meeting I had just recently been summoned too. Hundreds of thoughts and feelings set fire to my mind, emotions poured through me. The last meager days had been much to hard on me. I rubbed my temples and sat down on a nearby bench, for once I was grateful for the seemingly unlimited amount of them that had been placed on Olympus. And then I saw HER. The only person that had not been on Olympus long enough to have the common sense not to avoid me when I'm mad. IT'S HER FAULT! SHE'S THE ONE TO BLAME! Angry screams pounded through my head. Stiffly I got up and advanced towards the enemy, she noticed as I came came closer and a slight frown spread across her face. "Hera" Metis spoke acknowledging my arrival. My raging anger could not wait for greetings, and just like that.
I blew up.
I began screaming at her. "HOW DARE YOU COME AND ACT AS IF YOU OWN THIS PLACE, AS IF YOU BELONG HERE; BECAUSE YOU DON'T! DO YOU HEAR ME? DO YOU HEAR ME? YOU DON'T BELONG HERE! STAY AWAY FROM MY HUSBAND AND MY DAUGHTER! JUST BECAUSE YOU USED TO BE MARRIED TO HIM MEANS NOTHING! AND YOU CAN NOT JUST WALTZ BACK INTO ATHENA'S LIFE LIKE YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN THERE FOR HER! BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T! AND YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO MAKE OUR LIVES DIFFICULT JUST FOR YOU! EVER SINCE YOU'VE SHOWN UP OUR LIVES HAVE BEEN A LIVING HADES, AND IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF YOU! SO YOU CAN GO AND FEEL PROUD OF YOURSELF NOW THAT YOU'VE RUINED OUR CURRENT LIVES! SO. SHAME. ON. YOU!
I paused and my breath came out in short ragged gasps. What did I expect? immediate sobbing? begging for forgiveness? Instead Metis retorted. "Me coming here was not my fault, and you being arrogant blinds you." And with that she walked away, head held high. Almost. . . . queenly.

Left there to stand like an idiot, I gaped at the shrinking form of Metis in the distance. Coming to my senses, I continued on my way to the throne room. For the first time, I arrived after everyone else, even Ares. Giving my steely glare to everyone who made eye contact with me, I sat down on my throne. As usual Zeus opened the meeting, stating the order of importance, and the reason for the gathering.
I didn't listen to a word that was spoken, and I tried to stay as disconnected from the discussion as possible. Suddenly I was roused, and I was told to cast my vote between Zeus and Athena. I did not feel like putting up much of a fight, and sighing I voted for Zeus' favor. The rest passed in a blur, and surprisingly I found myself hardly feeling any joy that Zeus lost. For some reason, I just feel defeated, I no longer have a purpose.
The meeting was dismissed, and I was among the first to leave. I began walking aimlessly through the numerous corridors of Olympus, not paying any attention to the direction I was headed, I ended up in nearly a full circle. Suddenly I sighted two silhouettes in the shadows, instinctively I hid behind a nearby pillar. Not even thinking about the shame of getting caught, I eavesdropped.
Two females speaking in low voices were obviously discussing matters of importance, snatching phrases that were being relayed back and forth in their conversation. I could automatically identify the distinct voices of Persephone and Athena. The fist part of the sentence I could not hear ". . . assassinating Zeus. We must stop him." Persephone's voice urgency in her voice made my heart stop beating. "Persephone, are you sure that you heard this correctly?" Athena questioned, "If we accuse Hades and we are wrong, we will be punished severely." "I am sure as I could possibly be. He is making plans with the Fates and they want to poison him, so Hades can reclaim the throne that he still believes is rightfully his." Persephone's grave voice, was filled with deep concern. Athena replied, "We will stop his mad plan, but we can not talk here. Meet me in the gardens, in the center of the maze at twilight tomorrow night."
