Athena's P.O.V
I faced my enemy, sword drawn. He will move first, he always does. And I was right he yelled a battle cry and leaped into other air sword coming down in a deadly arc. Most people would try to deflect which is what he wanted, to stun your arms, but I wasn't most people.
I sidestepped him. He landed beside me off-balanced, so I promptly turned and kicked him, sending him tumbling. "Come now, you'll have to do better than that." I said reading myself. He got up, steaming now. He wouldn't try a frontal assault again. I decided to take offensive. I lunged at him and he flicked it aside. That was the beginning of a series of parries, jabs, over-cuts, twists, and turns.
And the start of a plan.
I started to lose ground, making him believe he was winning, I backed up slowly at first and then became more rapid. He shoved me then, knocking me unbalanced and falling. As I fell I saw him rush forward, and I smiled. He saw this and knew beneath my visor, I had a look in my eye, the look I got when one of my plans worked out perfectly. He tried to back up, but his momentum pushed him forward. "Too late" I said. And kicked his feet out from beneath him.
He let out small cry as he fell, starting to land right where I had just been, but I was already acting. I rolled under him, then timing it perfectly I grabbed his sword from him. He landed with a loud thud, and by the time he opened his eyes to see again I already had both swords trained on him less than a centimeter from his neck. "Dead" I stated, then gave him back his sword. "You may be the god of war Ares, but you are no strategist." I said as he brushed off the dirt clinging to him. "Soon I will be victorious." He said through clenched teeth. I shrugged, "Continue dreaming." "YOU-" Ares began but was cut off by a "Ah-hem" followed by the fluttering of shoes.
"Hermes" I said smiling as I turned around and flicked up my visor, "What a pleasant surprise." "Perhaps not so pleasant," Hermes began. "The next great prophecy has been spoken, Lord Zeus requests a meeting with you." "You couldn't be more right Hermes, meeting with my father is not pleasant." "Very well, good seeing you Ares but I must make a unpleasant trip to see Zeus. Let's go Hermes we have a prophecy to plan for."
*Half an hour later*
I stared at my father across the table, strewn out in front of me were maps of every sort including the map that had the plan on it. A plan that I didn't help create. "So you think making a bomb will help!? Your insane!" "Athena listen to common sense, a bomb filled with the poison is the only logical way of defeating him" "Logic? Logic? this is a good way to kill us!" I snapped back. "Zeus, I am the goddess of wisdom I do not operate solely on common sense and logic I use them both to put together a plan for greater good, and this is not it!" I yelled putting emphasis on the good.
"Hmmmm, I think you are mistaken, Athena, you are the unwise one here." I looked at him, he has lost his mind. "You can't be serious. I should be the one leading this war not YOU!" "I am King here not you, I will lead my people in the wars!"
"You will not be king much longer once you lead everyone to their deaths! Then you will have no one to rule!" I shouted. "Silence! Athena once you have cleared your head of all this nonsense you will map out the rest of the war!" Zeus said with quite authority. "No father you are the one needs a clear head, and until then, forget it. You can fight this war without your number one strategist!" I then turned and began walking out the door, but not before I heard BLAAUUGHHHH and splattering. I turned just in time to see a large object plunk onto the floor.
I looked at Zeus "You have alot of explaining to do"
