        "MOM!"

        "Yes dear?

        " WHERE'S MY BAG?"

        "In the living room."

        "THANKS!"

Today was the big last day. finally after a long 179 days we were done. That is, with this year anyways. This morning went like this. My mom puts Rascel, my fat gray cat, on top of me to wake me up. I did not wake up and she set my puppy on me. "WHHAAaaaatttt," I yelped dragging the word on thickly, as the morning grogginess hadn't worn off yet. I'm not a morning person. "get your lazy butt up, Its your last day of school, and you have to be presentable today." That meant that I had to try my hardest to make my thick blond hair that I always put up into a five second pony tail, look presentable. That and she wanted my clothes to look better than usual, I through on my favorite shirt. It was a golden shirt with a lion on the front. I threw on my best pair of jeans, my favorite pink belt and went into my living room. Soon after, I walked down to my neighbor's house and got my daily ride to school.

"Nemea, can you believe that it's the last day of school!"

No Phoenix, I thought it was the first day of school," I sprang back sarcastically.

YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!"

"Fine I guess, no I can't believe it!" I sang, really glad that it WAS the last day of school.

"GIRLS sit," our assistant principal  screeched, giving us the "I'm going to get you" kind of look. We put our hands up in defense. We sat. Already under the over hang~ offering little shade for our eyes if we sat wrong- were our friends: Callie, Sirena, and Hydra."Hey every one!" I yelled, as people at the table murmured to each-other. The tables had a soft teal color, and the concrete flooring underneath us was so heavily lop-sided that the table wobbled any time someone sat down.

"HEY!" They all harmonized

"Can you believe this is almost over?" Serina bellowed. Her voice is high and she has thick rimmed glasses. She has a soft face that could  just as easily fit a younger girl than her.

"No, This is crazy!" Phoenix yelled, a little bit too loud for the morning at a school. Phoenix has light brown hair, almost blond. It's short but not too short. Her body is built is smaller than most of us and she is tall.

"It seems like just yesterday, we were all sitting over there searching for each other to show up!" Hydra squealed. Hydra has really short hair that sticks out at the tips. Her bizarre fashion and skinny build match her interesting personality all too well

"Yeah!" Callie pushed keeping our little conversation moving along. Callie is a girl with Filipino heritage. Her skin is a light brown, hard to explain, just like her awesome personality. Her dark hair was often put up in a pony tail, sticking to one shoulder most of the time.

Then the bell rang. We all went our separate ways, starting with Sirena, Phoenix, and I going to math. Ms. Pierce, or as the new comers would call her, the fierce pierce, came to the door. She let us in and started today's lesson. Her classroom was small. It had math posters every wheres and our desks had been black topped "wood." The desks were two per person an allowed just enough elbow room in my opinion.
