We wandered around for a while, listening to bickering between about twelve people. I really don't think any one else heard the noise as much as me. I often asked mother why I could hear the neighbors radio, when I wanted to yell at them to turn it down. When I'd started to yell one day she came and covered my mouth and she told me it was okay and gave me ear plugs. I never knew why she did that. She told me never to take them out. She told me I didn't need to. So I never did. In fact I still use them. I could also smell a faint grape lingering smell. Like grape wine. I could hear crackling fire and smell smoke. I could feel a distant sea breeze and at the same time felt the need to arch my back, chills running up and down my spine. Above it all I could smell a strong stench of perfume. With all these scents and sounds my brain hurt. I cried out and ran out of the building.

After a few failed attempts at conversation, my friends all wandered outside. We all just sat there. In our day dreams. To be honest I think we all had our own "friends" in our heads. Possibly. After what seemed forever, my mom came out and said come in girls. What happened next. startled the crap out of me.

We walked past the slanted marble pillars and pulled open the big intricately detailed doors so that we could head into the beautifully designed, huge room that seemed so old yet so new. Like a redone "fixer-upper" only that times infinity. Just as the meeting was adjourned twelve people walked out of the "conference room"  "Hello girls," The youngest looking of the twelve said, Making me snap straight out of my cold day dreams, not like the usual ones.
