Away.
Away from it all.
It's all he could think about.
A smallish boy, about 9 years old ran through the streets of Konohagakure, fright incasing his face. he had hair as black as night and dark blue eyes. A burn mark visible on his right hand. He wore a silver cloak, stolen from the nearby smith as to hide his true identity. Once it could be seen as skillfully crafted, but this was not such a time. The cloak had been torn and discolored due to the weather. Currently the child was running as fast as his legs could carry him. A mob was after him again, now with murderous intent. He knew he was alone in his escape from the town. ''Hurry! Get it!'' came a cry from behind him. ''Don't let that demon escape!'' He panicked. He knew the mob was closing in on him. He knew the alley ahead would lead him out of the city and into the nearby forest. As the torchlights got closer and brighter, he knew it was his only chance and hurried down the alley, reaching the forest. He slowed down momentarily, and regretted it instantly as his cloak was grabbed by someone and caused him to be thrown 10 yards away into a tree. He looked up to see what caused it and fear quickly replaced any thought left in his mind.
Three Konohana Shinobi.
''Well well well. What do we have here?'' one asked rhetorically with a sarcastic tone. ''It seems like the demon is up and running again'' another anwsered. ''It seems to not have learned its place.'' commented the third. ''I believe we should show it where it belongs in this village.'' ''I agree.'' commented the second one again as he cracked his knuckles. The child could hardly prepare for what they did to him. Afterwards the three shinobi noticed the child was still standing. ''Would you look at that, the demon is still standing'' the first one commented surprised. As the three shinobi approached him, they noticed most of the wounds they had inflicted on him were absent. Their trail of thought was cut off by the child speaking: ''J...ju-just b-back o-off'' The first of the three shinobi sneered: ''Oi, demon! Stay the fuck down, why don't you!'' However the child slowly started to rise as an eerie cold black cloak of chakra began to slowly surround him. He spoke once more, calmer and deeper toned. ''Just back off'' The shinobi sneered; ''The demon finally reveals its true colors!'' His chakra cloak was coated densly around him. The sky seemed to darken as if not even the nightsky wanted to witness what was about to transpire. The three shinobi drew their kunais ready to attack, ''prepare to die demon!'' The dark chakra solidified and formed a blade. The boy closed his eyes as he grabbed hold of the weapon.
With incredible speed and strength the child attacked the shinobi. After the attacks had ceased he gazed upon the aftermath before him. His eyes widened as he looked at what he had caused. All trees seemed lifeless and the nearby river looked as if it had been polluted. However, the worst were the destroyed bodies of the shinobi that had attempted to kill him only seconds ago. There was little left of them to even see they were once humans but the hollow armor and bits and pieces of bones. The child flinched as he felt a sharp pain in his arms, causing him to fall backwards. He then noticed that they had become crimson and enligned with strange markings he had never in his life seen. After the pain had somewhat lifted he looked at the weapon that saved his life, and noticed at had been engraved. Without wanting to know what had caused to sudden engravement, he knew what the symbols meant: ''Incarnation of everlasting darkness'' Suddenly, all the names, the hatred, the hostility of the villagers towards him came flooding back. The words they used to describe him: Demon, It, Monster. It all made sense, but there was one thing that troubled his mind: If Yami had been defeated by the Sun Goddess Amaterasu not too long ago, how had he been reincarnated already!'' He then recalled when his birthday was: December 21. The day Yami had been defeated. ''Quickly that chakra pulse came from over there!'' came a shout from nearby. The child darted his head around and noticed torchlights quickly making its way towards him.
If the villagers found him in his current state and around all this destruction they would show no mercy to both him and the ones he held dear. He had to escape from Konohana. He sprinted deeper into the forest. without warning something told him to stop. He did so and found himself face to face with the wall that surrounded Konohana. It was tall, slick and unclimbable for a civilian. ''What the hell happened here!'' cried an outraged voice from some distance away. ''It was that demon!'' ''Find it! Kill it! Make it pay!'' The child panicked, as he needed to find a way to climb over the wall and fast. The thought of using the trees came to mind but was was disregarded. He then noticed that his hands had become more like claws and knew this was his only option. He struck his hands at the stop nails first. His claw-like hands dug into the stone as if it was dirt, after which he did the same with his other hand. And he then began repeating this procces to climb the wall like it was a ladder. As soon as he had reached the top he took cover as the mob had just gotten there. "Hurry! Spread out and find it!'' ''Don't let it escape!'' With that, they took off in various directions, leaving the child by himself. He took a minute to catch his breath before continuing. He slowly climbed down on the other side of the wall and took off into the forest.
He looked back at the cite once more as he knew he was abandoning someone he held very dear.
''I'm sorry lil'sis'' he said with regret and sadness in his voice.
It would be many years before he would ever see her again.
