Descendant's Forgiveness Chpt 2

For a little while she remained silent, but then she asked a question to me Yume that shook him: "Why did you give in to that demon?"

This question took him by surprise, as the goddess had never said much about his symbiotic relationship with Yami. ''so, why did you give into that temptation?'' she asked with both a tone of concern and coldness. He responded: ''I wasn't just going to let them hurt her like that.'' He continued. But something rose to the surface when he was asked this next question by the celestial deity. ''Do you really think I didn't have a plan to protect her? I was simply waiting for the right moment." before the deity could even continue, she was interrupted by Yume. ''you mean to tell me that her getting hurt, that was part of your fucking plan!'' I Yume, had heard enough for today and finally he lashed out. ''listen, Amaterasu. I will say this only once'' the deity seemed taken aback by the sudden shift in tone from this child. ''if I ever catch you doing something that end up hurting her in any capacity and I find out she told you not to do it. Well I'll keep it simple, if that happens, Yami will be least of your worries.'' As he began walking away, he turned to face the deity one final time before leaving, and said. ''If you can't protect her, I will!''

A few moments later

After having left the Celestial plane, he tuned out the godly side of him screaming at him about how he shouldn't have reacted like that to Amaterasu. He quite frankly didn't care about that at all. He just wanted to get back to the shrine. As he walked, he only thought about how the entire world now knew about him and Yami's reincarnation. So many questions going through his head, but only one thought actually stood out: keep her safe. He soon reached the steps leading up to the shrine. But instead of going up and greeting Rao, he sat down at the beginning of the steps. He wanted to talk to his other side, but knew what he was getting into was far from pretty. He focused his mind again and was once again in the mountainous sky field, looking at a very agitated Yami. "Do you have any idea what you have started by showing them we are connected? They will soon demand the Ise Shrine cut their ties with us or war will be declared.'' Yume remained silent as his other half told him what he had done wrong. ''not only that but other countries will soon receive word of this''. Finally Yume spoke: ''so you would have allowed them to put her through more pain?''  The other half was taken aback by this question. ''of course I would not have allowed them, but just because you did what you thought was right, doesn't mean that you're excused from the consequences.''But they did come to an agreement. They would do everything in their power to protect both the Great Goddess and her vessel, even if it meant paying the ultimate price. Little did they know, they would come to regret this statement
