Descendant's Descent.

''Even if it meant paying the ultimate price. Little did they know, they would come to regret this statement.''

As they reached the inner part of the shrine, they noticed everyone had woken up and was walking around. So, they decided to look for Rao. A few moments later they found her, somewhat dazed, walking out of the main shrine. They helped her to her feet and onto a nearby bench, so she could recover properly. They sat down beside her; head held low. She spoke slowly: did you give into the temptation?

At first, he kept quiet, but after seeing the desperation in Rao her eyes, he sighed and spoke: ''yes, I did give into the temptation of the powers my other side grants. ''However, I did not do so in the name of evil, or at least in my eyes I did not.'' He said. He breathed in and then out, ready to continue speaking. ''they had taken my sister hostage, and demanded I return as the village deity vessel. When she tried to speak up, she was beaten into silent submission'' He took a deep breath to calm himself ''when I saw her whimper in fear, I felt something inside me just.....snap. after that, all I remember before it went dark was a scream. And after I woke up again, I was walking out of the village, my hands covered in blood. But I do remember hearing a voice speak to me whilst all was dark.'' Rao interrupted him: "you heard a voice?'' this seemed to take Yami by surprise as he thought the soft-hearted side of Yume was locked out of consciousness. ''indeed I did hear a voice. And I remember the voice and words clear as day: ''Dal zumal phara-lo lierra, cast open the gates that lie betwixt heaven and earth. In exchange for the life of this world. The flames of apocalypse will once again consume the world'' he recited. Rao recoiled in shock from the words the child spoke. ''t-that is from the eulogy of Ruin, in which is written how the world was supposed to end centuries ago'' she comments, still full of shock. He sighed, as he continued: ''it's not surprising it would be from something like that.'' He sighed before continuing with a question to Rao: ''should the girl wake up, could you not tell her what happened back in the village?'' this took both Yami and Rao by surprise, but Rao nodded, knowing that Yume would probably not give her an answer if she asked why. He then stood up and left towards the training grounds near to the Grand Shrine. ''is she wishes to speak to me; you may tell her that I am nearby the training grounds'' he then left Rao to herself and left the room to head to the training grounds. Rao knew he would be going there for training as he was known to practice when was stressed.

A few minutes later, on the road leading to the training grounds near to the shrine

''so why did you ask Rao to keep quiet about what happened in the village?'' the deity asked Yume. He responded calm and collected: ''how do you think she would take the news that because of her, her father was killed in cold blood by her brother? She would most likely break down from it, and that is why I asked the priestess to keep quiet.'' Yume then reached the training grounds, as it was nearing night. ''Are you certain you wish to train now? It is nearing night and it will soon begin to freeze''. Yume sighed upon hearing this and told the Deity: ''I just want to get rid of all this stress first, and we barely even notice the cold anyway'' Yami knew this was true, since unlike the deity of the sun and her vessel, he and Yume had begun to grow immune to cold and warmth. This however, they had not mentioned to anyone, to avoid panic and confusion. ''So this is where you went, Yume. I figured you'd stay near the shrine'' a voice rang out from behind Yume, but he knew very well who it was
