''I'm sorry little sis'' those were the words the child spoke before his new life had begun. As he left Konohana behind him, he noticed it had become night. He needed to find shelter soon or he would freeze, due to it being a very harsh winter. Luckily his cloak kept him warm enough for him to find his shelter, an old shrine left behind decades ago. He stepped into the building and felt a sense of relief, but regret as well. He had, after all, abandoned the one most dear to him. But that's another story to tell. For now the child had gotten more questions than answers. As he lit the bonfire in the middle of the building, he noticed someone standing in the door opening. However, this was not someone from Konohana that had somehow found him. ''And who might you be, young one?'' the stranger asked the child. ''and what might you be doing in this forgotten shrine dedicated to the Goddess Amaterasu?'' the stranger asked once more. ''I needed to get away from them'' the child spoke with sadness in his voice. The exhaustion was clearly showing its effect on the child. ''Away from who?'' the stranger asked once again. However, before the child could answer, they fell unconscious on the floor.

When the child awoke, he was no longer in the shrine but in the peaks of some apparently-tall mountain with clouds circling and storming below him. He looked around to find that the moon was present, yet the rays of the sun were there. As he looked more, he noticed something: there was a doppelganger of him sitting in the middle of the mountain.

Greetings young one, the doppelganger spoke. This caused the child to flinch, and walk towards the doppelganger slowly. ''do not be afraid, for I cannot harm you and would not either. We are the same being after all.'' This sentence intrigued the child. ''how do you mean, the same being?'' he asked. ''you are my vessel. Our body is the same, but our souls are separated from one another.'' ''you have already experienced my powers once before, in Konohana.'' After that very word, Konohana, the child knew who this was: Yami, god of everlasting darkness. ''so then why was I the vessel for a god that was defeated only years ago by the sun goddess?'' ''That I do not know, child. It normally takes decades, if not centuries for a god to regain its physical form.'' The god said. ''but that doesn't matter now, the priestess must be worried about you'' the god spoke once again.

As the child woke from his slumber, he noticed something strange. He was no longer in the shrine but instead in a traveling wagon.

The Priestess was in front of him, resting as the wagon was moved to a location he didn't know.

''Ah, it seems you've woken up.'' The priestess said, relieved by this. 'I couldn't just leave you there, who knows what could have happened to you'' she spoke. ''where are we headed?'' the child asked her.

''the grand temple of the goddess Amaterasu,'' which sent the second soul within the child in a frantic panic. ''we're going WHERE?!'' the god proclaimed, causing the child a small headache. ''if I may ask, why did you flinch when hearing that name, child?'' she asked him. ''I've had some bad memories with the Goddess. The child proclaimed.

Soon afterwards, the wagon stopped in its tracks, making it know that it had reached the destination.

''we've arrived at the Ise Grand Shrine, child'' she said. ''I don't quite out of place here'' the other half spoke, clearly at unease. As the two of them walked through the Shrine, a searing pain began building up the child's arms. Each time he would look, his arms looked as they did when he had used Yami's powers. By the time they had reached the end as well as the Main shrine the pain was near unbearable.

''Is something wrong child?'' the priestess spoke. ''you don't look so well''. The child was struggling to walk by this point. One of the children living in the village noticed and came to help him. ''Are you alright?'' the voice was all too familiar to him, but it couldn't be her. ''what's your name? Mine's Mira''

The child was still in disbelief over whether it was actually her. He spoke slowly: ''I'm Yume. Nice to meet you Mira'' when he got to his feet again the cloak, he wore around him to hide his arms fell off. ''What happened with your arms, my child?'' the child froze in fear, since this was the one thing both him and Yami didn't want to be asked about, especially here. To keep his secret from being discovered, the child lied about it: ''These are wounds inflicted onto me from my former life.'' ''perhaps the goddess Amaterasu can help us bless you and clean you of your wounds'' ''Lets visit our grand priestess Rao''

As the three of them moved closer to the main shrine, the child noticed something. Yami had said that they shared memories before, but he only now noticed how dark some of them were. By the time they reached the building, he had seen all of his other half's memories. When they entered the building a woman greeted them. ''greetings and welcome to our shrine'' this had to be Grand priestess Rao.

''Rao, we request your help treating this child's wounds'' both the child and priestess spoke. She simply gestured to the spring in the back of the Main shrine. ''you'll need to head there alone, my child'' the priestess said. He followed the Grand priestess to the spring. ''put your arms in the water, so I can begin treating your wounds'' she spoke clear and calmly. The child laid the cloak beside him and put his arms into the water. ''I can see that you have been mistreated by your village, young one. And you worry about someone besides yourself, very dearly in fact.'' The child simply remained silent. ''but these lines aren't only from wounds, are they?'' the child flinched upon hearing this. ''I sensed something strange about you when I first saw you, something godlike. Perhaps you can tell me to who you are a vessel.''

''y-y-yami'' the child muttered. ''please child, I can not hear you, if you whisper'' she spoke. ''Ya-mi''

the child spoke. After that, the priestess stayed quiet.

After a little while, the priestess and the child came to look why it was taking so long. ''Mother, is it really that bad?'' the child asked her mother. The priestess finally spoke again: ''his so-called wounds are not real. He has fused with Yami'' she exclaimed in disbelief.

All four of them stayed quiet after she spoke these words.
