"Come on, Shu!! Beat him!!!!"
Valt yelled throughout the Beyblade arena. Shu was battling against Lui, his all time rival. Shu was in the zone and was determined as hell to beat Lui.
"I believe in you, Shu Kurenai!!"
Valt shouted to his best friend. Shu was definitely able to hear him and didn't want to let his best friend down.
"Remember our promise!!"
Valt shouted again. It hit Shu like a ton of bricks.
"Valt... You're right... I promised you that I'd beat Lui and Luinor."
Shu thought to himself as he bared his teeth.
"I won't let you down, Valt Aoi!!!!"
Shu yelled to him with much fighting spirit. He positioned himself to launch, letting the ref know he was ready.
"Ready... Set! 3... 2... 1... Let it, RIP!!"
Both beys touched down into the stadium and were aggressively spinning. Spryzen looked like it was speeding up. It was a perfect launch. Valt sat in the audience not taking his eyes off of his best friend's Bey. He wanted to cheer him on more, but he didn't wanna disrupt Shu's focus.
"Now, Luinor!!!"
"Spryzen, go!!!"
The two competing bladers shouted at their beys to make their final move. Within just about 6 seconds...
"Spryzen wins with a burst finish! Shu Kurenai wins the match!"
Shu panted as he lifted his hair a bit showing his scar. Everyone in the audience cheered for Shu, while Lui clinched his jaw and showed his sharp teeth.
"How...? How did your pathetic self beat me?!"
Lui yelled. Shu stared at him as he was about to walk away, but before he could Lui tackled him.
"Get the hell off of me!"
"Shu!!"
Valt jumped over the wall in front of him and ran to defend Shu tackling Lui off his best friend.
"Hey! Stop it! Both of you!"
The ref called out as he broke them up.

The whole gang went back to Valt's house to celebrate Shu's win against Lui. The win he's been waiting for ever since he met the flame haired blader.
"Congrats man!"
Rantaro said to Shu.
"Yeah, Shu! You were awesome out there!"
Valt said to Shu as he gave him a tight hug around his waist. Shu was hugged the smaller blader around his neck.
"Awww!"
The gang said in unison.
"Oh shut up, guys!"
Valt said to them laughing.

Ken, Rantaro, Wakiya, and Daigo had done left Valt's place. Shu and Valt decided to have a movie night and have Shu sleep over. The boys have been best friends since kindergarten and they still had sleep overs ever since. They went to Valt's room to ready up a movie to watch.
"Okay, winner, what do you wanna watch? Its your pick."
Valt asked the white haired blader.
"Hmm... How about Lion King 2?"
The boys loved their Disney movies. Nothing wrong with that!
"You read my mind!"
Valt exclaimed with a big grin on his face. Shu blushed at the shorter boy's toothy grin. He began staring at Valt without even knowing it until Valt pulled him back to reality.
"Shu Kurenai!"
"HUH? Oh, sorry. Zoned out."
"What were you thinking about?"
"Uhh... Nothing. Turn the lights off, Lion King is starting."
Valt did as he said and turned out the light as he sat in the floor while Shu sat in Valt's bed. Valt always let his guests sleep in his bed while he suffered on the floor. But that's fine. Shu looked at Valt.
"Valt, you gonna lay up here?"
Shu asked him as he noticed Valt sat on the floor instead of his bed.
"Nah, you get to have it to yourself, bud!"
Valt showed his big toothy grin again. Shu gave gave a shy smile as he reached down and pulled Valt up by his armpits onto the bed.
"Whoa!"
Valt yelled in surprise and in a bit of pain.
"Ow, Shu!"
"Sorry, didn't mean to grab your under arms that hard, haha."
"Yeah, yeah. I take it you want me up here?"
Shu gave a nod. The bladers made themselves comfortable under the covers and began watching their movie. Both of them tried to sing along to the opening song of the movie.

By the part where Simba sings 'We are One' Valt was dead asleep. Shu looked over to see if he was for sure. He was all curled up under the covers fast asleep. Shu blushed as he watched his best friend sleep.
"Sleep well, Valt."
Shu whispered as he stroked Valt's blue spiked hair that he forgot to wash out. Oh well.

Both bladers slept in late, deserving it greatly. Valt woke up first at 12:15. He sat up to see Shu still fast asleep next to him. He stroked Shu's white hair as he got flustered.
"What's going on? Why am I so fascinated by Shu lately?"
Valt thought to himself. Valt had no problem with being gay, but is he crushing on his childhood best friend? Does Shu feel the same about Valt?

Valt decided to let his friend continue sleeping and go practice so Beyblading. After his shower he went outside in his backyard where he and his twin siblings had their own Bey stadium. Valt grabbed Valtryek and his launcher.
"Ready... Set."
He got ready aloud.
"3... 2... 1... Let it..."
"RIP!!"
Shu said in unison with Valt as he surprised him from behind.
"Shit!! Shu, you scared the hell out of me!"
"Hehe, sorry!"
"You should be! You fucked up my launch! Whyyyyyy!!!???"
Valt whined at Shu playfully. Shu laughed at his playfulness.
"Valt... You're so cu- Uhh..."
Shu blushed as he tucked his knees into his chest trying to hide it. He watched Valt practice blading as he day dreamt of when he and Valt would blade when they were Toko and Nika's age.
"Alright, I'll come out and admit to myself... Valt is incredibly cute."

Okay, this took longer than it should've. Had a panic attack a few nights ago so that was a set back. But omg my new OTP is definitely Shalt! I love Shu so much and I love their relationship in the show too. More so when Shu joins the club though. But enjoy!!
